It’s time for an update that makes Axie Classic even better. We’ve created a new off-chain resource called Gold and are ready to launch Phase 2 of the Grand Tournament, nearly doubling the daily AXP limit to bring it on par with Origins. Sounds good? Let’s take a look at the details together.
Gold is Axie Classic’s new off-chain resource. In the near future, you’ll need gold to purchase tickets to the Cursed Colosseum. For now you will still receive a free day ticket, but that will change in the coming weeks.
If you’re playing Classic, it’s a good idea to stock up on gold. We will be introducing more utilities for gold in the future, and today is just the first step. Here’s how to get your hands on precious gold:
Win the arena match → Get the gold box → Get the gold box → Repeat
There are four types of gold chests: Common, Rare, Epic, and Mystic. Each has its own drop rate, cooldown time, gold gain, and gold coefficient. Players can only have a maximum of four gold chests at any given time. To obtain more Gold Chests, you must wait until their cooldown period expires. For example, let’s say you win 4 matches in a row and get 4 regular gold chests. It means you have met a hat with four breasts, ~ no After you unlock one or more of the Gold Chests, you can earn more Gold Chests until the cooldown period ends. The same kind of thing applies to Rare, Epic, and Mystic Gold Chests. However, the cooldown period is longer.
Stage 2 of the Grand Tournament will be broadcast live today at 12 PM in Vietnam! 70,632 Lunasians took up the fight and participated in the Grand Tournament. This means we have a lot of fixtures ahead of us at this stage. These brave Lunacians will compete for the grand prize, Mystic axie #1978, with the runner-up receiving an Origin axie, and third and fourth place taking home an axie from Japan. Stage 2 of the Grand Tournament has a total of five rounds, with players divided into groups with their own leaderboard each time.

Winners: Top 100 players each receive 450 Gold and 1 AXS. The top 16 players will also qualify for Stage 3, which consists of the final tournament.
