Blockchain-based sandbox MMORPG WorldShards has launched a trial event giving players the chance to win NFTs worth more than $100,000.
This event will run from November 18th to December 9th at 13:00 UTC and serves as a preliminary test for the game’s future token economy.
Participants can collect in-game items by defeating enemies and exchange them for various NFT prizes.
What is the WorldShards Trial Event?
The trial event is a testing phase to evaluate the mechanisms of WorldShards’ future cryptocurrency tokens before their official launch.
During this event, players defeat enemies and collect pieces of debris on Wild Island. These pieces help players climb the leaderboard, and their ranking determines the number of trial coins they receive.
Experience coins are exclusive to the event and can be exchanged for NFT rewards, including islands of various sizes and rarities, and various artifacts.
Event details
To participate, players must top up their collectible items in the collection tab of their workbench. This action grants you a power of attraction buff that allows you to collect fragments when defeating enemies. The power of attraction depends on the luck charge and luck stat of the item used, with rarer items providing a stronger effect.
Players are divided into five leagues based on the maximum index of the Force of Attraction buff: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each league has its own leaderboard and set ranks (30 for most leagues and 15 for Legendary Leagues). Rewards are distributed according to leaderboard ranking within each league.
Players who are in the top 50% and have collected the required number of Shard pieces will receive a trial coin.
How to participate?
Existing players can participate in the event immediately, while new players can access it by purchasing a $40 welcome bundle through Open Loot. This bundle includes:
- Non-tradeable key to access the game
- 2,500 Gems (the game’s premium currency)
- Additional resources to help you start your journey
