Web3 growth expert Bilal Bin Saqib highlights need for regulation of cryptocurrency markets in Davos

The World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, attracted 3,000 participants from around the world. It included 1,600 business leaders, 350 secretaries of state and government ministers, and hundreds of academics, civil society leaders and entrepreneurs.

The conversation centered around AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, with topics primarily centered around the regulatory environment.

web3 growth expert Bilal Bin Saqib MBE will participate in several panels at the World Economic Forum and Crypto 2030 to talk about regulation and its importance in fostering innovation in today’s rapidly evolving technological environment. I did.

Recognized by Forbes for his work in strategy and innovation on Asia’s 30 Under 30 list, Bilal has an extensive track record in developing route-to-market and growth strategies for web3 projects. Since 2017, Bilal has advised on a variety of projects, helping them scale through his network and experience entering global markets.

Because his work is centered around routes to market, he often deals with projects that navigate complex regulatory environments. According to Bilal, “Continuous regulatory and compliance changes pose significant challenges by creating obstacles that impede the functioning and innovation of financial institutions.”

The regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies has been one of the most discussed topics, especially following the approval of the Bitcoin ETF. In response, Bilal said the ETF ‘gives Bitcoin legitimacy, reduces regulatory uncertainty and gives the cryptocurrency the prestige of an asset class.’ He said the participation of financial institutions like BlackRock will ‘ensure strong oversight and investor protection in a convenient and familiar investment class.’
