According to data from Dune Analytics, Tron’s Sunpump has generated over 51,701 memecoins. The platform’s success goes beyond simple token generation, with several key metrics showing strong performance.
Sunpump recorded a total swap volume of $259.2 million, indicating significant liquidity and trading activity. With 100,746 active swappers, the platform also facilitated over 1.4 million swap events. The platform also generated $2.6 million in fees.
Sunpump Surpasses Solana’s Pumpfun in Early Growth
Sunpump has achieved significant milestones at a faster rate than its competitors since entering the market. In just a few weeks after launch, Sunpump generated over 50,000 tokens, while Solana’s Pumpfun had a slower token generation in the early stages but grew steadily over time.
User activity tells a similar story. Sunpump quickly gained over 100,000 active swappers and conducted over 1.4 million swap events, while Pumpfun saw a steady increase in active users, peaking just a few months after launch.
Sunpump tokens reach multi-million dollar valuation
The platform’s rapid rise was already evident on August 22nd, when blockchain researcher Adam reported that Sunpump was overtaking Pumpfun in daily activity and revenue. On that day, Sunpump issued 7,351 new tokens and generated $585,000 in revenue, while Pumpfun issued 6,701 new tokens and generated $366,000 in revenue.
This surge of activity comes just 12 days after Sunpump launched on August 9. By then, Tron’s Sunpump had already generated over $1.5 million in revenue and facilitated the launch of over 25,000 new memecoins. Several tokens launched on Sunpump have seen significant success, with one trader briefly turning $1,000 in a token called SunWukong (SUNWUKONG) into $750,000. Another memecoin, SunDog (SUNDOG), has seen its value soar to $270 million.
