Su Zhu, co-founder of bankrupt cryptocurrency fund Three Arrows Capital, was questioned in a Singapore court this week in connection with the company’s collapse. Zhu was arrested last September and jailed for four months for failing to cooperate with liquidation proceedings. Lawyers for liquidator Teneo delved into how the fund failed and the whereabouts of its assets during a two-day hearing. Zhu and co-founder Kyle Davies have been accused of failing to cooperate with the investigation, and Teneo is trying to recover $1.3 billion from the pair. Three Arrows collapsed in 2022 as leveraged betting exploded, sparking a $2 trillion cryptocurrency rout. Davis’ whereabouts are unknown, and Teneo is contacting authorities around the world to find him. Zhu and Davies have not faced criminal charges in Singapore.
