Pavel Strasky An experimenter who primarily uses light, but also uses depth of field, overlays, and filters. Since he hasn’t switched from WindLight to EEP yet, he takes pictures in an older version of the Black Dragon viewer.

He described his process for the photo above: “It was created in Black Dragon and we focused on it and tried many different options and adjustments in Photoshop until this image was created. I only take pictures in BD. This may surprise you, but I don’t use EEP. Luckily I still have a very old version of BD that doesn’t have EEP.”

It would be nice if all accidents were accidental like this. Pavel said this situation arose due to serious delays.

“When there is time difference, I become a cloud. Seeing it from an ant’s perspective is truly amazing."

He says it’s difficult to describe his style. “I think it’s impossible to write a tutorial because I don’t know. I try to make creative photos in different styles. Some images are works of chance, others are works of fleeting mood. “I combine various techniques that come to mind, but above all, I try to capture a story.”

Be sure to check it out Pavel Strasky’s Full photostream, at least the most recent photos. He likes to use light and dark to blur or hide elements of a photograph in shadow. He also plays with color. he has coldest winter photos. It will make you shiver.

His work sometimes reminds me of the saying, “It looks dark through glass.” Especially when he looks through a link in a chain, through part of a window, in a shadow or dark place. It’s a recurring theme. I find his work fascinating and I think you will too.
