Local marketplaces introduce a whole new layer of commerce to Star Atlas. With this update, each starbase in the Galia Expanse is now an isolated, independent market. Players can: Buy and sell items directly from specific starbases There is no need to take assets out of the game to trade. This means that every spaceport becomes a localized economy, with product prices varying depending on supply and demand in a particular location.
The introduction of the Local Marketplace opens up exciting new career paths for players, including: cargo transportationPlayers can transport goods from one starbase to another to take advantage of price differences. Additionally, players can ship Through Galia, you’ll use them to craft jobs for a chance to obtain manufactured goods from Galia’s various space stations. The dynamics of trading, shipping, and strategizing have never been more fascinating.

Unlike the LP system, where players receive ATLAS for their proportional contribution to faction objectives during a given epoch (current daily ATLAS emissions are 4.5 million to accommodate infrastructure contract emissions), players can now: Create a faction infrastructure contract in Starbase and exchange them ATLAS fixed amount (2). Catch? Contracts can only be redeemed at a specific starbase and for a specified period of time.
There are three types of Contracts, one for each faction, and can be used in three different starbases at any given time, rotating through the six major starbases in each faction’s realm.
- Mud faction: MUD-2, MUD-5, MRZ-7, MRZ-8, MRZ-9, MRZ-12
- ONI Faction: ONI-2, ONI-3, MRZ-36, MRZ-26, MRZ-31, MRZ-30
- USTUR faction: UST-2, UST-5, MRZ-17, MRZ-28, MRZ-32, MRZ-33
All starbases for each faction can craft infrastructure contracts, giving players another reason to explore and extract resources across the galaxy. Timing and strategic moves are important to maximize the value of these contracts and encourage players to become deeply involved in the faction’s infrastructure and economic environment.
