Swiss Crypto Bank SEBA Rebrands to AMINA Bank AG

Swiss cryptocurrency bank SEBA Bank AG has announced a new identity, rebranding to AMINA Bank AG. Operating out of Chuuk, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong, the bank offers a wide range of banking services covering both traditional and cryptocurrency options to customers around the world.

According to SEBA, the choice of the name ‘AMINA’ is derived from ‘transAMINation’, which means the transfer of one compound to another. AMINA embraces constant change, combining elements of traditional banking, digital banking, and cryptocurrency banking to bring unprecedented potential and growth to its customers.

The vision also embodies a transformation of customers’ financial future, SEBA said.

“As we bid farewell to the SEBA name, we remain enormously proud of the group’s achievements under its previous brand. Our brand signals a new era of company growth and strategy, positioning us as a key player in the cryptocurrency banking landscape and defining the future of finance,” said Franz Bergmueller, CEO of AMINA.

“With a customer-centric approach and years of experience in both traditional and cryptocurrency finance, we provide a secure platform for investors to build wealth in accordance with the highest regulatory standards. “We are grateful to the investors and dedicated employees who support us across the region, and as we look ahead to 2024, our goal is to expand globally while accelerating growth in our strategic hubs,” he added. Amina Bank Aiming for global expansion

In 2019, SEBA Bank (now AMINA Bank AG) made headlines as one of the first institutions to be regulated by FINMA to offer cryptocurrency banking services. The ongoing rebranding effort marks a fresh start for the company, leveraging its extensive four-year operating history.

Now, following the pioneering spirit of SEBA Bank, AMINA Bank is positioned to lead the way for its customers as a Swiss-regulated cryptocurrency bank serving both existing and crypto-savvy customers globally.

The rebrand marks a new era for the institution, which has proudly participated in the financial landscape for over four years. With the same pioneering spirit, AMINA Bank is ready to lead the way for customers around the world as a Swiss-regulated cryptocurrency bank targeting both traditional and cryptocurrency-savvy individuals.

AMINA Bank reassures existing customers that the rebrand will not impact operations and that business will continue as usual under the new name.

Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi branch and Hong Kong and Singapore subsidiaries will apply for a name change to match the Chuuk headquarters, solidifying the organization’s unified identity throughout its global activities.
