SCI-FI first-person shooter Shaatterline will terminate the online multiplayer server on June 26 and will function as a single player title.
The SHATTERLINE, which is originally available as a multiplayer game that can be played for free, also moves to a paid model. This change occurs when the studio is ready to stop purchasing in -game purchases that are disabled on May 26. Refund is provided to the user who purchased for 15 days before the date.
According to Frag Lab, core epidemiology remains, but future updates will focus on solo content rather than competitive or collaborative play.

Why is SHATTERLINE ending online play?
Frag Lab cited a player base that decreases as a major cause of decisions. Despite the announcement of an early approach at the EPIC Games store in 2022 and 2024, the game struggled to maintain a daily activity user who was enough to support consistent matchmaking.
In addition to reducing multiplayer activities, the game had difficulty in making profits. As there are few players who participate in the purchase of the game, it has become more and more difficult to maintain the development of the live service model. As a result, the developer decided to focus on a model that does not depend on the player concurrency from the online infrastructure.
Online feelings reflect the skepticism of those who are not convinced of the frustration of the long -term player and the integration of the game of the game. Some have criticized the blockchain element that it does not go well with the player experience, while others mentioned that the multiplayer experience is having difficulty with small participation rate before Pivot.

What is the next step in SHATTERLINE?
According to Frag Lab, the studio plans to expand the single player content of SHATTERLINE after the online server is terminated. Future updates will focus on adding new missions, improving offline play, and maintaining the game’s firearms and progress systems for solo use.
The game also adopts a one -time purchase model and ends its status with a free play title. Players who already own the game maintain access and can continue to use the game after switching.
There is no confirmation of whether the blockchain element will maintain or completely remove. FRAG LAB has now tried to support the modified SHATTERLINE, but the size and timeline of future updates have not yet been announced.
