Spatial engineering startup Rypplzz, creator of the multi-patented geolocation platform Interlife, announced a successful seed funding round of $3 million. This funding round, led by sports technology investment firm KB Partners and with participation from Triptyq Capital, brings Rypplzz’s total capital raised to $6.8 million.
To meet growing demand, Rypplzz plans to use the funds to expand its product, expand its team and focus on hiring additional technical staff. The company said it expects a surge in new batches as it transitions to commercialization.
Over the past year, Rypplzz has conducted successful pilot programs, strengthened its technology, and established strategic partnerships with key industry players. Most notably, the company collaborated with music artist Grimes to host the first-ever Augmented Reality Art Rave at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
Josh Pendrick, CEO of Rypplzz, told Metaverse Post: “Raising funding last year was historically difficult for startups. Being able to secure funding in this environment speaks to the strength of our product and how big its potential is across the industry. “I do,” he said. “With this latest round of funding, our plans are to expand our team and bring on additional engineers and technical staff to help scale our product. The goal of this expansion is to improve the performance of each team member, allowing us to further unlock the untapped capabilities inherent in our technology.”
Rypplzz hosts the 27-acre Tucson Convention Center, Cisco Sports Media Group, and SkyPath Security, Inc., which has a mobile defense platform. and established partnerships with high-profile brands and venues, including major U.S. sports leagues.
Rypplzz’s technology transforms airspace into a monetizable engagement opportunity, facilitating AR-based fan experiences, wayfinding and traffic analytics, geo-targeting, and a variety of technology-enabled crowd management capabilities.
“We facilitate entertainment in and out of the home for our fans through interactive augmented reality (AR) experiences. Additionally, our platform introduces a modern paradigm for securely monetizing digital content and assets by leveraging blockchain and smart contracts,” said Pendrick. “This allows us to dynamically repurpose, repurpose, and distribute both existing and new content in ways that are impactful, engaging, and monetizable.”
Rypplzz’s plans to strengthen its geospatial technology domain
While traditional GPS precision is limited to 10 to 20 feet, Rypplzz’s algorithm leverages radio frequencies to achieve an accuracy of 6 inches in three dimensions. The platform supports programming digital files to precise three-dimensional coordinates of the airspace, enabling interaction with phones and other Internet-connected devices.
“The foundation of our innovative capabilities lies in our comprehensive Interlife platform, comprised of innovative technologies such as our patented 3D WiFi positioning system and radio frequency communications network,” said Rypplzz’s Pendrick. “Specifically, our positioning system boasts accuracy to within six inches and maps the digital-to-physical world in three dimensions. This is a remarkable advance over the 10- to 20-foot precision of traditional GPS, which does not measure altitude very accurately.”
Rypplzz’s core product, Interlife, is a spatial computing platform that transforms air into addressable 3D cubes and allows users to deploy interactive digital files at precise 3D coordinates in physical space. These objects interact with mobile phones or IoT devices and dynamically respond to triggers or rules. Key features of the patented technology include ultra-precise location information and RF transmission with bandwidth efficiency and synchronous device transmission at low cost.
The funding secured by Rypplzz will allow the company to further develop its geospatial technology and continue its trajectory of disruptive innovation in the industry.
“There are numerous organizations today offering a fraction of what is possible on our powerful platform, but no other organization is addressing the spatial computing market at the most essential level with the precision that Rypplzz delivers,” says Rypplzz’s Pendrick. he told Metaverse Post. “Our multi-patented technologies and unique algorithms are developing a whole new era of computing. “These changes will deliver the most modern, new user experience that is not limited to your phone or computer screen.”
