RWA accumulation launches on Bybit, providing tokenized access to institutional bond funds through Plume and DigiFT.

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced the launch of RWA Earn, a platform designed to provide eligible Bybit users with access to institutional-grade financial products through a tokenized RWA strategy powered by Plume, an open financial infrastructure provider, and DigiFT, a digital asset exchange licensed for institutional RWA services in Singapore and Hong Kong.

RWA Earn allows eligible participants to subscribe to two tokenized institutional bond funds managed by PIMCO and China Merchants Bank International, each providing exposure to unique global bond strategies.

For many cryptocurrency traders and retail investors, institutional bond funds have traditionally remained inaccessible due to authentication requirements, brokerage constraints, and fragmented onboarding processes that primarily serve large financial institutions. The introduction of RWA Earn comes as part of an effort to lower these barriers by enabling subscriptions through a regulated tokenization framework operated by Plume and DigiFT, giving users access to institutional fixed income strategies without leaving the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Within this structure, Plume provides an on-chain vault infrastructure designed to enable users to allocate stablecoins to revenue-generating products under a compliance framework, while DigiFT serves as a regulated distribution and exchange layer connecting institutional fund managers with blockchain-based investment channels. This setup allows products originally designed for professional investors to be repackaged for broader market access through tokenization.

The launch comes amid growing momentum in the real-world asset sector, with stablecoin market capitalization expected to exceed $300 billion by 2026 and tokenized financial products gaining traction in both traditional and decentralized financial markets. Against this backdrop, RWA Earn reflects the broader trend of blockchain-based infrastructure being increasingly used to expand access to global capital markets and institutional investment strategies.

Bybit expands RWA returns with tokenized institutional bond funds providing fixed income exposure

RWA Earn launched with two fund products designed to meet different risk and return profiles, both tokenized through DigiFT, with Bybit acting as the distribution layer.

The first product, the PIMCO Dynamic Income Opportunities Fund (PDO), is managed by PIMCO, a global fixed income investment manager overseeing approximately $2.26 trillion in assets under management and drawing on more than 50 years of investment experience. The fund focuses on current income generation and dynamically allocates to corporate credit, mortgage-backed securities, government bonds, bank loans and emerging market products. It has historically offered competitive annual returns and is available commission-free to eligible Bybit users.

The second product, CMBI Investment Grade Bond Fund (CMIGB), is managed by CMB International Asset Management, a subsidiary of China Merchants Bank Group, one of China’s largest and longest-standing financial institutions. The fund focuses on stable returns from investment grade bonds across Asian and global credit markets while maintaining an average credit rating of BBB+ and a portfolio tenure of approximately 3.24 years. In addition, the goal is to generate consistent returns as there are no subscription fees or redemption fees.

Both funds are tokenized through DigiFT, a platform regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and accessed through Plume Nest Vault, which facilitates on-chain subscriptions and allocations within the Plume infrastructure layer for real-world assets. The underlying assets are managed by the institution, with State Street Bank responsible for the PDO and CMB Wing Lung Trustee overseeing the CMIGB. On-chain transaction costs, including gas fees, are fully covered by Bybit for both products.

RWA Earn builds on Bybit’s broader strategy to integrate traditional financial products into cryptocurrency markets, following the initial introduction of CFD trading, tokenized stocks, derivatives linked to assets such as precious metals and artificial intelligence-related stocks. This launch marks our expansion into institutional bond exposure within our real asset suite.
