Martin Map, a CMO of Rango Exchange, discusses the company’s high -end cross chain infrastructure project aimed at making multiple chain diph as fast, smooth and user -friendly.
The asset change of the blockchain can be as simple as a single click for non -password indigenous people. In this interview, we talk with Martin Map, the CMO of Rango Exchange, and talk about the technical vision of one of the most advanced cross chain infrastructure projects in the universe. Martin shares how Rango builds a rail to make the multi -chain dipy fast, smooth and user -friendly.
Can you share your journey to Web3?
Prior to Rango Exchange, our team had a hedge fund and quantitative algorithm construction experience. We entered the encryption space in 2017 or around 2018, and initially operated a market bot and worked for distributed exchange. This has led us to be deeper in contributing to the mechanics and ecosystems of encryption.
In 2021, we saw a rapid rise in defects and protocols, such as one -inch and other chain swaps. We also knew that the legs were more common, but at the time we supported most of the assets or chains such as BTC and WBTC to bridge assets such as USDT transfer. The user wanted to go further. In order to cross the other chain from a single transaction and make a leg.
For example, we have built a solution that allows users to participate in Solana or Avalanche’s defi in a single smooth behavior from the cosmos to USDT or a single smooth action. Many existing interfaces are not sculpted or compatible with certain wallets. This inspired to create an integrated interface that can connect several wallets and perform swaps and bridges in parallel.
We helped people who give up more chains, more bridges, and more Dex ugers to find the best path throughout the network.
How does Rango determine the best path for swaps across different chains and bridges?
RANGO treats each onchain protocol as a graph node (dex, bridge or routing solution). Our smart routing algorithm analyzes the entire graph. Each corner here represents time and expected output as well as costs (gas fees). The best price, the fastest speed or the lowest slide, crosses the chain according to the user’s priorities, to calculate the optimal path.
It is not to find the cheapest path. Some users prefer speeds, especially when the most efficient path slows down. Therefore, it provides several path classifications so that the user can choose what is best for their needs.
What is the biggest technical task that Rango overcomes many chains and wallets?
One main task is that you are not familiar with all the blockchains we want to support. We knew the BTC, EVM and Cosmos chains, but others, such as SUI, TON or Solana, had to adjust both backends and execution systems.
Another big challenge was to adapt as the new wallet type, especially account abstraction, increased. Some legs did not support this new wallet, and this wallet introduced a risk of expensive funds. Our top priority is always security, so we have implemented checks and configuration so that the user’s funds can be safely maintained.
Security varies from block chain. Ether Leeum Smart Agreement has a different vulnerability from the Solana program or cosmos module. It was important but necessary to understand and solve the specific risks of each chain.
Does Rango plan to deal with expansion as more chains and protocols are added?
The expansion was a key focus on us. Unlike many Dexs that depend on SDK or external APIs, we maintain many parts of the necessary state internally. Rango’s own backend, price and path, can sync defi data to respond almost immediately without relying on real -time external service calls.
To do this, we must run our own node for some chains, especially chains. The problem is that each chain and protocol are written in different languages (Rust and Ethereum for Cosmos, Solana). We can normalize this data in an integrated form, allowing the routing engine to make consistent and accurate decisions.
What are the main indicators or milestones that Rango are proud of?
One major milestone reached $ 1 billion in one year. The other is the main wallet using the API (trust wallet, binance Web3 wallet, exodus, and edge wallet, etc.
It also closely tracks the competitiveness of the fee and the speed of API response. If the user gets a quotation in 2 seconds instead of 15, it is a significant UX victory even if the transaction itself takes longer. We benchmark ourselves to constantly stay at the forefront.
How is Rango positioning to attract alcoholic or non -crypto primitive users?
We are focusing on improving accessibility. One of the main obstacles to the new user is the concept of gas. You can get paid from USDT or USDC, but you can’t pay fees without ETH or SOL. We are specially designing the path and front end flow for these pain points.
In addition, we are working on a new UI that allows users to create account-boost litigation wallets using only email addresses that do not require a browser expansion or external wallet app. This will live in the second half of this quarter and designed to lower the barriers for non -password indigenous people to start using Lango.
Is there any use of AI to improve the crosschain infrastructure or lango as the AI integrates more with the blockchain?
We are already working with protocols and production agent -based systems that can interact with the blockchain using natural languages. For example, a user can enter “I want to buy BTC” on the chatbot. The agent checks the wallet, asks which tokens to use and gets the path through the API of Rango.
This AI interface has begun to reconstruct how people access Defi.
How can RANGO evolve as RWA is more prominent in Defi?
Today most RWAs are in a single chain and some are published as NFT. As tokenized funds, ETFs or assets are more common, Rango can help users to connect users from other chains to that ecosystem.
For example, to purchase a tokenized ETF issued in one chain, using Rango does not require a manual bridging or multi -step process using BTC or asset of another chain.
How does RANGO fit the intersections of Tradfi and Defi through traditional financial search block chain technology?
To target 1 billion users, you need to connect the feat and crypto. We are actively working with the lamp/off-lamp provider that came directly to enable Fiat-Smart contract transactions. It is not alive yet, but it is expected to make progress by 2025.
Can I share Rango’s roadmap?
Currently, RANGO has recently lived in SUI with over 70 blockchains. Our main goal is to improve the backend infrastructure for safely expanded and extensive user adoption.
It also launched Pluton Finance, a version of RANGO. Rango focuses on asset swaps and cross chains, but Pluton explores new user -centered cases. Our roadmap is to expand the core infrastructure of Rango to provide power to more intuitive, faster and flexible blockchain interactions for everywhere.
