Town Star Node is growing, rebranding, and reviving the core promise it founded.
As Town Star moves forward with its transition to Common Ground World, the team is committed to delivering on the promises it has made in the past. We know some of this has been a long time coming, but we believe it’s important that our communities and networks get the respect they deserve, even as development moves in new directions.
Of all the areas of the ecosystem, Town Star Nodes (soon renamed Common Ground World Nodes) have been the subject of considerable debate and discussion within our community. Especially when you consider the long periods of time without income that node operators have had to endure. We acknowledge the unwavering support of those who have kept nodes operating despite these challenges and their pivotal contributions to the network and IPFS. In appreciation and recognition of this dedication, we are pleased to announce a special rewards program for our esteemed Town Star Node owners/operators.
To understand the value each node brings and to balance scale for those who purchase at higher prices, we are launching node NFTs while also unveiling a rewards program that ensures node holders feel the weight of their initial commitment. . Town star node.
The highlights of the program are as follows: We aim to make the number of nodes you have reflect the initial purchase price of $1,000 per node, which is the price at which we will sell more nodes in the future. Here are some pictures:
- If you initially purchased a node for $4,000, you will receive 4 node NFTs when they drop.
- Similarly, if your initial node purchase price is $15,000, you will receive 15 node NFTs.
But that’s not all! The roadmap for Town Star Nodes is both society-centric and guild-centric.
- Guild central node: Town Star Nodes are not limited to just passive operation. They play a central role in guild dynamics, fostering interaction and community growth.
- Nodes that can be boosted: Eventually, Town Star Nodes would also serve as home to several “bot” characters from Town Star’s early days, including Farmbot, Tradebot, Boombot, and more. Crane bots are only kept as in-game items because they play such an important role that they are instantiated on the board.
- Exclusive Access: As a Node Operator, you will have exclusive access to the highly anticipated CGW Guild interface in-game. This means you will be the only one who can list your NFTs in your guild library for members to use.
- In-game benefits: Node operators can earn some loot in-game. From special buffs to unique power drops, you can not only benefit yourself but also share them with your guild mates.
- Guild Competitions: To add excitement, we will soon be introducing guild competitions. And here’s the problem. Rewards from these competitions play an important role in upgrading NFTs.
One of the criticisms that was leveled was that people felt they were running their nodes in vain. In the future, this will no longer be the case. We will implement a continuation-based node operation mechanism similar to the one used by Gala Film nodes to deploy database-only tracking counters solely dedicated to monitoring and recording the operation state of nodes. This conceptual tracking counter is called “DIRT”.
DIRT serves to prove the reliability and efficiency of the node. Every unit of DIRT represents a node’s active contribution to the network and provides a transparent way to reward node operators for being consistent and trustworthy. In the future, this DIRT distribution will be used to calculate other future distributions on the chain.
DIRT also serves to motivate node operators to maintain optimal uptime, knowing that their efforts and dedication are tracked and valued. As we move further toward a decentralized future, tools like DIRT will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of the network.
