The Philadelphia 76ers have launched Spectrum Sprint, a retro mobile game developed in partnership with Crypto.com. The free-to-play game combines classic side-scrolling gameplay with web3 technology, allowing players to earn digital collectibles and other prizes.
Featuring Philadelphia landmarks and the finish line at historic Spectrum Stadium, the game gives fans the opportunity to compete on a variety of difficulty levels for rewards. Prizes range from courtside seating and invitations to exclusive events to private suites for future games.
The game will also be featured directly at select 76ers home games via a pop-up arcade, giving fans an additional opportunity to play the game and take control.
What is Spectrum Sprint?
Spectrum Sprint uses pixel art visuals and side-scrolling mechanics reminiscent of classic arcade games. Players guide their characters through Philadelphia landmarks, including Broad Street, to Spectrum Arena, a stadium with deep ties to the team’s history.
Contestants can compete in one of four categories: Rookie, Pro, All-Star, and Legend, and a leaderboard tracks top scores. Rewards include courtside tickets, an invitation to the Sixers Youth Foundation Gala, and a private suite for 12 guests during a game during the 2025-26 NBA season.
High scorers also unlock unique digital collectibles throughout the game.
part of a broader plan
The game was developed by Impossible Brief as the second game in a three-game series celebrating the 76ers’ Nike City Edition uniforms. The first game, Buckets on Broad, was released in November and the final title is scheduled for release in March.
Fans participating in the “Spirit of 76 Night” game can play the Spectrum Sprint at a pop-up arcade station at Wells Fargo Center. This setup will also allow participants to create a Crypto.com account to connect their game to the broader web3 initiative.
The partnership with Crypto.com reflects the 76ers’ approach to integrating technology into sports and fan engagement while highlighting key elements of the team’s heritage.
