Lunacians, The Origins Season 8 pre-season has begun! Compete for the 4K AXS prize pool with other collectible Axie holders and get warmed up before the main season begins. The Preseason Cup features 2K AXS. This brings the total AXS rewards for preseason to 6,000! The balancing changes have now been made and new runes and talismans are now available. You’ll also have the chance to meet Mít, the town’s new starter Axie.
During preseason, the Origins team will be gathering player feedback and preparing several new features for release. Here’s what’s happening during preseason and what we’re working on for the season launch.
During the Season 8 preseason, owners of the collectible Axie can compete for the 4K AXS prize pool. The Collection Leaderboards feature a new scoring system that awards individual point multipliers to the Collectible Axie holder’s adjusted rank-based points. Here’s what it looks like:

Mít is Axie, the newest starting pitcher to join Origins. He’s a pretty fun player. Mít spends much of his time buried underground, sleeping and dreaming. Even when he is awake, Mít can daydream. You can also see Mít’s dreams through a special horn. This is because the horns’ expressions and movements reflect Mít’s actions in his dreams.
Mít is now available in the Origins Shop. Players can unlock Mít with 1000 gems. Check out Mít’s new cards, runes and talismans.
Here are the new balance changes coming during the S8 preseason:

Olek & Ena’s cards have been reworked with a new starter, Axie Mít.

A total of 20 new runes and 10 new talismans are added to the game.

A new (Awakening Stamp) talisman that upgrades your card to the next level (up to level 2).

All S8 runes and talismans (marked S7.5) are available for free purchase in the store during preseason.

To ensure a fair testing environment, S7 runes and charms are updated with S8 effects.
March 30th. 2K AXS is on the line. New runes and talismans are released. Who will win? We are delighted to end the pre-season with the Pre-Season Cup.
The following players will receive an early invitation to register for the tournament on March 27th:

S7 Top 100 players of each era (Rare, Epic, Mystic, Final)

Top 100 players with the longest Atia’s Blessing streak. Snapshots will be taken on March 26th at 10 AM (VN).
These players will have 24 hours to secure a slot, after which open registration for the remaining slots will begin on March 28.
Detailed registration steps will be shared early next week.

You can now use “Hold” by pressing “Q” as a shortcut.

Now pressing the “A” / “S” / “X” keys will toggle between opening that window (draw/throw away/remove the dummy). Previously, players could only open windows using shortcut keys.

Fixed Upgrade Axie detail screen showing upgraded parts as not yet upgraded.

Fixed Axie screen filter. Certain parts now display the correct results instead of “No Axies match filter condition”.

Fixed notification badge triggering logic and fixed issue with overlapping badges.

Fixed Bonesail/Cleanser/Cuckoo stack effects.

Fixed an issue where the Storm Shuriken Talisman would bypass the Last Stand rune.

Guard status has been modified to correctly reduce damage.
We’re launching Gauntlet mode during the S8 Rare Era. If all goes according to plan, Gauntlet Mode will be a limited-time event that players can play during each era where they can earn rewards in $SLP.

Purchase an SLP Ticket to begin the Gauntlet and earn SLP as rewards as you progress.

A gauntlet session ends when a player wins 7 games or loses 2 games.

Gauntlet Mode is a limited-time event that can be played in each era.

Before engaging in battle, both players will choose 1 of 3 random buffs shown on the screen. This buff is based on the existing rune effect.

The selected buff will be applied to all axes in the player’s team at the start of the battle, and will expire at the end of the battle.

After carefully considering player feedback and analyzing in-game data, we began work on an improved rune and talisman crafting system. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be implementing this new system when Season 8 begins. Please pay attention as a separate announcement regarding this will be made soon.
