Origin S17 has been released! A new season has arrived. It’s a really big season. S17 is the first season in bAXS where rewards are officially distributed, and new competitive integrity measures are coming to keep leaderboards clean. Here’s what you need to know:

S17 marks the official debut of bAXS rewards in Origins. All season rewards will be paid out in bAXS for the first time.

bAXS (Bonded AXS) is a non-transferable utility token backed 1:1 by AXS. It can be used for breeding, ascension, evolution, and staking, but cannot be transferred between accounts. This keeps value circulating within the Axie ecosystem and rewards players who are here for the long term.

Converting bAXS to AXS requires a treasury fee adjusted to your Axie score. Mythkeeper and other reputable players enjoy much lower fees and are rewarded for their long-term commitment rather than short-term farming.

In S17, the top 2,000 players will share a prize pool of 80,000 bAXS. Only Rare Era comes with a reward of 20K bAXS along with additional bonus incentives.

Keeping Origins fair is our top priority. We are raising the bar for S17 after an S16 investigation found 241 accounts were permanently banned for multiple accounts.

Competitive integrity checks are now run every epoch. Era rewards are maintained until each confirmation is completed, so legitimate players can trust that the leaderboards reflect real-world competition throughout the season, not just at the end of the season.

Multiple accounts and leaderboard manipulation will result in a permanent ban from Axie Origins. There are no exceptions.

The Collectible Chest pool returns to 10,000 bAXS, and like seasonal rewards, Collectible Chest payouts are available in bAXS for the first time.
