January 21: Rare Era
February 4: Epic Age
February 18: Age of Mystery
March 4: The End Times
March 18: S16 ends

As recently shared by Lunacian Lounge, the S16 marks a historic change for Axie Infinity. For the first time, all season rewards will be distributed on bAXS.

Bonded AXS (bAXS) is a non-transferable utility token backed 1:1 by AXS, designed to reward active players while keeping value circulating within the ecosystem. It can be used for breeding, ascension, evolution, staking, etc., but cannot be transferred to another account.

Players who choose to convert bAXS to AXS will pay a Treasury fee that is adjusted based on their Axie score. Reputable players like Mythkeepers pay much lower fees and prioritize long-term contributors while discouraging short-term “farm and dump” behavior. The exact fees for each tier will be announced in the coming weeks.

In S16, the top 2,000 players will share a prize pool of 80,000 bAXS. Only Rare Era comes with a reward of 20K bAXS along with additional bonus incentives.

Note: All season rewards will be distributed in bAXS at the end of the season. 1,000mAXS = 1bAXS

This season’s Collectible Chest Pool includes a total reward of 10,000 bAXS. With the introduction of bAXS, all collectible box rewards will also be distributed to bAXS.
