The OpenSim World Expo is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2025 and will celebrate innovation, creativity, art, technology, fashion and education in OpenSim.
This year-long event will unite the OpenSim community under one roof to showcase the talents and achievements that define the world.
With nearly 20 years of immersive experience in virtual worlds, hosts Cooper Swizzle, Koshari Mahana, Kimm Starr, and Entertainment Coordinator Rosa Alekseev are passionate about elevating events across the hypergrid. Their dedication to fostering creativity and innovation will make this expo a memorable experience for all attendees, showcasing the best that hypergrid has to offer.
The fair is held on the Lone Wolf-owned Wolf Territories grid and is designed to bring together individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests within the virtual community.
OpenSim Worlds Fair will feature at least 17 themed stages featuring a variety of genres including rock and roll, Motown, Latin, retro and more. These varied stage choices are designed to keep attendees entertained while partying and interacting with others, with each theme curated to suit the performers and DJs. Special thanks to Rosa Alekseev for her tireless dedication and outstanding efforts in organizing the fair’s entertainment.
Although it offers 72 bays for exhibitors, several spaces are still available for those who would like to showcase their work, talent and creativity at the event. Now that the entire region-sized plots are gone, we’ve prepared smaller plots for participants who want to leave their mark.
A small number of free exhibition spaces remain, providing a platform to share vision and innovation. This is an opportunity for champions to participate in a celebration that develops and promotes cultural exchange across the hypergrid.
“On October 23, 2024, Thirza Ember’s Hypergrid Safari tour attracted the attention of attendees who wanted to stop by the World Expo and experience the energy and creativity taking shape. Attendees had the opportunity to sneak a peek into the fairgrounds and explore exhibits and immersive installations.
Attendees shared their thoughts.
“It looks great and the grid looks solid,” said James Atlloud.
Forest Azure, he said, “has Second Life quality.”
“You all have done a great job. “I’m looking forward to March.” Lavia LLavine said.
In a Hypergrid Safari Facebook post, Star Ravenhurst wrote: “Some builds are still in progress, but many are already complete. The previews we’ve received have us really excited about what’s to come. This event will be a must-see, full of fun, innovation and excitement. Make sure to mark your calendar because you won’t want to miss it.”
