Mint One Podcast, Episode 83: Cryptocurrency Conspiracies

cryptocurrency conspiracy theorycryptocurrency conspiracy theorycryptocurrency conspiracy theoryCryptocurrency started as a way to send a bat signal to conspiracy theorists. First, Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, one of the greatest mysteries of modern life, is still unknown and his name is probably a pseudonym. Then, some of the earliest use cases of cryptocurrencies were on Silk Road, a notorious darknet marketplace a decade ago that used Bitcoin as a payment method.

Since then, we have seen numerous scams, crashes, and government interventions that have given rise to numerous cryptocurrency conspiracy theories. In this episode, we discuss everything from wash trading and NFT market manipulation (not a conspiracy!) to cryptocurrencies created by powerful, unknown entities to control the world’s population.
