Web3-based MMORPG Lumiterra will begin its second closed beta test (CBT 2) on November 11, 2024, introducing new gameplay features and wider player access.
Scheduled to run for three weeks, this phase will feature an improved progression system, enhanced dungeon challenges, and new modes to increase player engagement.
With updates based on feedback from the first CBT, Lumiterra’s developers are focused on balancing gameplay and delivering an expanded experience within a unique open-world setting.
What is Lumitera?
Lumiterra is a free-to-play MMORPG that integrates web3 elements into a survival- and crafting-focused multiplayer experience.
In an open world environment, players engage in combat, farming, and crafting, with the option to specialize in different roles such as farming or combat. These roles provide certain in-game advantages. Players who focus on combat will have access to advanced weapons, while players who focus on farming will unlock productive resources and crafting materials.
In addition to gameplay, Lumiterra includes NFTs and $RON currencies, creating a DeFi-driven economy where players can trade, enhance their gear, and take advantage of various in-game benefits.
What’s new in CBT 2?
The upcoming CBT Phase 2 brings several new and improved features to expand your gameplay experience.
- Upgraded equipment enhancement and lottery system: Players can now make more substantial progress by enhancing their equipment above level 1. Enhanced lotteries encourage continuous upgrading by giving participants the opportunity to win a portion of a prize pool funded by enhanced fees.
- Expanded dungeon system with Centennial Trials: The dungeon system now has six difficulty levels, allowing players to receive rewards based on their performance. Centennial Trials introduces 9 levels and a multi-stage dungeon. The prize pool resets every 30 minutes to provide regular participation incentives.
- Escort Slime PvP Mode: This new team-based event requires players to work together to protect their Slime characters from enemy attacks. With unique challenges and rewards tied to the different Slime types, rewards are awarded for successfully escorting your Slime and defeating the opposing team.
Access to CBT 2 will be available to players who meet certain criteria, including achieving a reputation score of at least 1,000 in the first test or making a minimum purchase. Additionally, players who own certain collectibles, including Axies, and who have completed the whitelist challenge through the event can also participate.
