Ubisoft will launch a new version of the turn -based strategy game champion tactics on STEAM on Monday, May 19. The game titled Champions Tactics: REFORGED is a free version that does not include a blockchain function or NFT integration.
Steam Release starts from the previous version of the game that depends on Web3 Technologies. The Ubisoft confirmed that this version targets players who prefer traditional experiences without digital asset ownership or blockchain -based mechanisms.
Arriving at the game’s Steam also coincides with Season 3 to Season 4, starting the same day. Ubisoft will be introduced as part of this update, but details have not been posted yet.

What can you expect in the launch of Steam?
CHAMPIONS TACTICS: Reforged is a squad -based turn -based game where players choose three characters called “champions.”
Unlike the Grimoria Chronicles version, which integrates NFT and blockchain -based assets, Steam Edition does not support Web3. Players cannot import NFT champions or interact with the chain economy. Instead, REFORGED focuses on a complete Web2 experience where the champion can unlock and produce the champion using the in -item “BloodStones”.
The game can be played for free, but the Steam Store checks that in -app purchases are included. Ubisoft describes the experience as “tactical play” and suggests that technology and decisions should determine the results of the game, not the size of the wallet.
The player must connect the Steam account with the Ubisoft Connect for play, which is a requirement for division among PC users who prefer the platform -only login. In the positive side, the STEAM version supports the standard function of VALVE, including achievements, trading cards and anti-cheat protection.

The original blockchain version of the champion tactics, released in October 2024, was completed by the integration of its own NFT Marketplace and Sandbox as part of Web3 Gaming in Ubisoft’s initial Poray. Reposids make Ubisoft clearly more traditional paths, which offer a stand -alone experience of tactical gameplay than token economy.
Whether the STEAM version can find a foothold in a free game competitive environment remains, but the emphasis on accessibility and technology base can be attractive to strategic lovers.
Champions Tactics: Reforged is currently offered to the wish list at STEAM and will be officially released on May 19.
