Leading infrastructure provider joins Flare to enable blockchain for data.
Flare announced that it is onboarding specialized infrastructure providers, including Ankr, Figment, Retake, and NorthStake, as validators and data providers to the network’s underlying oracles. Flare will be the first smart contract platform where institutional validators provide decentralized data feeds to network builders.
By combining verification and data delivery, Flare can provide developers with fully decentralized access to the widest range of data at scale and minimal cost. The world revolves around data, and getting real data securely through oracles is critical to many decentralized applications. In this way, Flare aims to expand the possibilities of blockchain to enable new use cases through a much wider variety of decentralized data offerings.
Flare currently has a total of 91 network validators globally, all of which also serve as data providers for the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), positioning FTSO as one of the most decentralized and trusted oracles available to developers. I’m doing it.
Hugo Philion, Flare CEO and Co-Founder, said: “The fact that institutional validators of the quality and scale of Ankr, Retake and Luga Nodes are willing to expand their business models to provide decentralized data specifically for Flare provides positive evidence that: Flare’s vision of a fully decentralized data network.”
Anuj Shankar, CEO of Luga Nodes, added: “Luganodes has always been committed to providing institutional-level services in the blockchain infrastructure space, and we are very excited about Flare’s new model for decentralized data delivery. It’s something we’ve never done before, but becoming part of the Flare ecosystem as a validator and data provider to the underlying oracle aligns perfectly with our mission to provide trustworthy and secure blockchain infrastructure solutions, and we’re excited to learn how that’s done. I want to know. “Improving decentralized data access for developers.”
Introducing Flare
Flare is a blockchain for data, an EVM smart contract platform that expands the utility of blockchain. With decentralized oracles built into the network structure, Flare is the only smart contract platform optimized for decentralized data collection, including price and time series data, blockchain event and state data, and web2 API data.
By providing developers with trustless access to the widest range of data at the lowest cost, Flare serves as a utility layer for the blockchain industry and supports the development of new and improved use cases.
