io.net, a distributed physical infrastructure network for GPU clusters, announced a partnership with Alpha Network to develop a secure environment for AI and Web3 applications. The goal of this collaboration is to address data security issues while making AI infrastructure more accessible so developers can build trustworthy decentralized applications.

“Our collaboration with Alpha Network will significantly expand access to decentralized, privacy-preserving AI computing for Web3 builders,” Tausif Ahmed, chief business development officer at io.net, said in a written statement. “Combining Alpha Network’s cutting-edge data privacy solutions with io.net’s high-performance distributed GPU capabilities will create an environment where Web3 innovation can thrive,” he added.

Alpha Network, the world’s first AI distributed execution layer, provides private data storage and AI training data services for Web3 developers. The two companies aim to combine advanced data privacy and breach prevention technologies with io.net’s distributed GPU network to create a secure, compliant, high-performance environment for AI and Web3 applications.

This partnership will leverage io.net’s distributed GPU clusters to create a privacy-focused AI training environment. This allows Alpha Network to securely process sensitive training data without relying on existing trusted infrastructure. Instead, Alpha Network can leverage io.net’s GPU infrastructure within a decentralized, sandbox-less setting to ensure data confidentiality and security through the implementation of zero-knowledge (ZK) technology.

io.net’s collaboration with Alpha Network will also enhance Alpha Network’s data sharding and quantization model creation solutions, increasing the efficiency of AI model training on large datasets for customers. This approach not only prioritizes data privacy, but also enables secure, scalable, and cost-effective training for enterprises, developers, and individuals.

This partnership marks an important step forward in building a secure and accessible infrastructure for AI and Web3 applications. This will open new opportunities for developers, enterprises, and GPU owners to operate within a decentralized, privacy-centric framework.

“Through our partnership with io.net, we are expanding the scope of what can be achieved in secure AI and Web3 computing,” Lina Zhang, CEO of Alpha Network, said in a written statement. “This will give users access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure without sacrificing privacy or security and support the creation of new decentralized applications based on high-quality datasets,” she added.

io.net is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) that provides on-demand management and deployment of distributed GPU clusters sourced from geographically distributed locations. The network now provides access to hundreds of thousands of GPUs, forming an Internet of GPUs designed to meet the needs of low-latency, high-processing-demand applications such as AI/ML operations and cloud gaming. By democratizing access to GPU computing resources, io.net helps reduce costs, shorten lead times, and provide more options for engineers and enterprises.

Recently, io.net partnered with Zerebro, an autonomous AI agent, to support expansion into blockchain verification.
