We launched Axie Experience Points (AXP) in July 2023 and shared our vision for the Axie metagame, or ‘game within a game’. This was the beginning of our journey towards vertical axis evolution, which we undertook with Part Evolution in December. AXP is important because it enables dynamic NFTs.

Today you can get AXP for your axies through Homeland. We’re working to create an Axie gaming ecosystem powered by AXP, and this release is a step in that direction.

Earn AXP by collecting, producing, crafting, building, upgrading, combining or disassembling materials in Homeland. You can earn up to 10,000 AXP per axis per day, with this daily limit being reset every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC. Use these AXPs to level up and rise up your axis in preparation for the parts evolution of your App.axie!

Note: We will be adjusting AXP return rates based on feedback and data we collect. For example, if we observe that the AXP earned from a particular activity is higher than expected or lower than justified, we will make the necessary adjustments taking into account the difficulty of the task compared to other activities.

AXP is connected to a specific axis. This means that before earning AXP, you must assign your NFT Axie to a land plot via the NFT Axie management menu.

Level 1: Assign axes to your land plot through the NFT Axie management menu. At the level 1 altar of Atia, you can assign 2 axes. At Atia Altar level 10, you can assign 32 axes!

Step 2: Complete in-game tasks such as gathering materials, producing, crafting, building, upgrading, combining and dismantling.

Step 3: Collect AXP! A green check mark will appear when your axie’s Axie Core daily limit has been met. This is the same as the “total limit” that accounts for AXP in many games beyond Homeland. On the other hand, the progress bar only shows AXP deployment for Homeland.

Stewards can earn AXP by allocating their axie NFTs to the landlord’s plot! The landlord’s axis is automatically removed from the land allocation when it is entrusted to a trustee. If you’re a Steward, don’t miss this opportunity to allocate your own Axie and continue earning AXP as you take advantage of the landlord’s intrigues. For landlords, please note that delegating to a caretaker will automatically remove Axies from your plot allocation.

The AXP you can earn from an activity depends on a variety of factors, including the type of plot, the time it takes to complete the task, and the nature of the task itself. For example, in the Genesis plot, you can earn ~5 AXP per level 1 tree cut down, and up to 76 AXP per level 6 precious metal mine collected instance. As a rule of thumb, a high blueprint or deposit level and a long completion time for a task will generate more AXP than a lower blueprint or deposit level and a faster task.

To level up or promote your Axes, we recommend assigning them to tasks that generate larger amounts of AXP and upgrading the Altar of Atia to increase the number of Axes you can assign. This is how you can earn the most AXP for your Homeland efforts!

When Axies reach their daily limit, remove them and replace them with new Axies to maximize your AXP distribution. Don’t forget to complete missions to earn AXP!
