Axie Infinity is a product for the web3 generation.
In 2023, we face the greatest challenge in history. Can Axie Core and Axie Evolution be implemented successfully? Can we break down adoption barriers and scale community support strategies? Can we reinvigorate the sleeping giant of the Axie PH community? Is Axie really the next Axie?
These are just some of the questions we faced on January 1st as we reflected on the past year.
In this note, we will offer some parting thoughts about 2023 as we prepare to climb the mountain ahead of us in 2024.
After weathering the storm of 2022, we’re restarting Axie’s growth engine in 2023.

Our parts evolution trailer, “The Forgotten Temple” became a huge hit, garnering over 2.7 million organic views in just one week. This has already been announced as the number one participation in web3 games and NFTs this year.

In 2023, over 72000 new wallets will acquire at least 1 axie. 72,000 people attended Live Aid, so the picture above gives you an idea of the scale of this onboarding.

In 2023, a total of over 662,647 accounts interacted with one or more Axie games.

Axie ecosystem MAU has increased 170% from 100K at the beginning of the year to 270K now.

Good day manager! Classic has grown from 10,000 MAU last August to 160,000 MAU since its official launch. “In the back”. The announcement post on Facebook went incredibly viral, garnering over 8 million views, making it the most read NFT statement of the year.

1.7B SLP was burned this year compared to only 0.5B emitted. This means a 1.2 billion decrease in SLP supply in 2023, a deflation rate of over 2.5%.
We are confident that the above numbers support our claim that Axie Infinity has once again become the biggest IP in NFTs this year.
Axie is a bubbling laboratory for the entire NFT gaming sector. We invented play to make money, but the next step is to create a balanced economic system that will facilitate this forever.
In 2023, we have realized six years of dream of component evolution and vertical development with Axie Core.
We believe in a “metagame” embodied in the following ideas: axi core, this is what makes web3 games special. While legacy game developers engage players solely through immersion and/or fun, blockchain-based games have the potential to create games that distort the fabric of our lives.

In 2023, we have achieved partial evolution. finally. Now we have a complete loop. In other words, it’s a virtuous cycle where you can play the axie game, earn resources, and then use those resources to strengthen and distinguish yourself from the millions of axies that already exist. Your Axi is becoming the protagonist of your digital identity.
In 2024, we will double our AXP and evolution utilities by integrating them into dozens of axie experiences. We will also experiment with the upcoming changes to the distribution and supply dynamics of SLP forced upon us by the brutal Lunacian winter frosts…
The only way to predict the future is to create it yourself. The only way to invent something is to repeat and combine things in new combinations.
We have been inventing and predicting the future by constantly iterating and releasing products. This post isn’t about looking at all the product improvements and new games this year. There are too many. You’re probably tired and overwhelmed by our shipping speeds (we won’t stop shipping MOAR).
