Humane selects Optiva’s SaaS solution BSS to unveil AI-based wearable ‘Ai Pin’

Humane AI selected a full-stack business support system solution from Canadian-based software solutions provider Optiva for its product, Ai Pin.
Humane AI — Founded by former Apple engineers Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, selected a full-stack business support system (BSS) solution from Canada-based software solutions provider Optiva for its hardware product, Ai Pin.
The BSS solution takes care of essential functions including billing, network integration and value-added services for Ai Pin users, enabling Humane to deliver a simplified and intuitive customer experience.
“Optiva Full Stack BSS enables seamless billing, taxation, payment or collection, installments and telecom service provisioning for all Humane services such as Ai Bus access, wireless plans (voice, data, roaming) and cloud storage.” Joy King, GTM Vice President, Optiva, told Metaverse Post.
Additionally, Humane has built-in MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) connectivity to provide wireless services for Ai Pin, highlighting its self-sufficiency in providing connectivity to devices.
“AI has great potential to transform our lives. But the amount of data and computing capacity to make this happen is enormous, and connectivity is fundamental to both. Built-in connectivity simplifies the customer experience, especially since apps do not need to be downloaded, set up and managed individually,” Optiva’s Joy King told Metaverse Post.
“There are also no data limits, which is very important for any AI function. Lastly, eliminating the need for a screen and keyboard is a game changer. We all have fingers that can tap and mark what we want, and our ability to use our palms as screens is quite impressive. Ai Pin’s laser ink display takes innovation to a new level,” she added.
For simplicity, MVNOs do not own wireless infrastructure, but instead lease network services from existing carriers. In this case, Humane provides wireless services to Ai Pin, helping users stay connected without the need for a traditional smartphone or assistive device.
Facilitate user interaction with cloud-based apps
According to Humane, the new Ai Pin is powered by Cosmos, a new operating system tailored for the AI era with a software framework that does not require traditional app downloads.
“Cosmos OS is built on a framework called AiBus, which allows devices to participate in AI applications in the cloud without the need for downloads, individual account setup, etc. No app updates or passwords required,” Optiva explained. . Joey King.
“We are entering a new era: the era of invisible networks. “Connectivity has never been more important, but it is important to remove the complexity of network management for both consumers, end users, and businesses like Humane,” he added.
By definition, Humane is an MVNO, but this is not its primary focus. This is where Optiva becomes a key partner.
