Homeland Avatar Mode is now live. Avatar Mode lets you roam the Homeland map with your NFT Axie. We’ve created a quick guide on how to explore this feature. We’re also introducing you to Lunacia’s fascinating wildlife, the Noctids. Read on to learn more.

In January, we launched Land Delegation and NFT axies gameplay in Homeland. The Homeland beta launch followed and set the stage for this exciting adventure. While the beta was getting off to a bumpy start, the founders outlined the next steps and Avatar Mode was formed. Your desire to explore Lunacia with your axies drove us to make it happen.
The wait is over, Lunacians! The Axie Homeland Avatar Mode Beta is now available! Enter the vibrant world of Lunacia and explore and interact with your favorite Axie like never before.
Let’s shout it from the rooftops. Homeland Avatar Mode is for everyone! Whether you own land or not, you can jump into this new feature as long as you own an Axie. This is at the core of our design to allow every Lunacian to participate in the excitement and exploration of Homeland. Now, let’s dive into the details.
Homeland Avatar Mode lets you roam Lunacia’s lush landscapes and bustling towns as an Axie. Travel and visit plots and vibrant towns like Goldenwind, Evergreen, Winterblue, and Hazymoon. Meet other Lunacians and chat in the General, Local, and World channels.
We ran a successful Avatar Mode open beta test from July 17th to 24th. Thank you to everyone who participated. We would like to inform you that all account data for the open beta test has been reset. Everyone will have to create a new account and start from scratch.
Getting started is simple and intuitive.

Choose your avatar: Choose your favorite NFT axie to represent you in Homeland Avatar Mode. Everyone who owns an axie can access this feature, regardless of whether they own a land plot or not. You can only select one axie at a time. You can also replace your selected axie if you wish.

The four villages, Golden Wind, Evergreen, Winterblue and Hazymoon, each have their own unique charm. Take a stroll through the vibrant Golden Wind village. Then, take a quiet walk in the Evergreen forest. Enjoy the snowy beauty of Winterblue and immerse yourself in the mystical feeling of Hazymoon. These main villages are not just for show. They will be the central hubs for our social experiences and events.

Our Lunacia exploration just leveled up! Meet the Noctids, Lunacia’s fascinating wildlife. You can interact with these creatures, but first, check out their lore.
On the planet Lunacia, you can find many fascinating creatures hidden in the forests and lakes. They are hidden in the crevices of the highest mountain peaks and deepest canyons. You may hear the Sapide calling these creatures Noctid. There are thousands of wild Noctid species on Lunacia, whose forms are limited only by the imagination of Norma, the goddess who created life on Lunacia. According to legend, she slept in the ancient wasteland rocks of the planet for three centuries, and when she woke up from a vivid dream, she brought all these mysterious creatures from the dream world! The Noctid have since flourished on Lunacia, living in peace with the Sapide and the Axi.

We’re also adding Avatar Mode quests to the Premier Bounty Board! Keep an eye out for bounties for these quests next week. The quests fall under the Homeland category. Some of these new quests don’t require a land plot or playing as a Steward. Remember, if you own an Axie, you can access Avatar Mode.

Get ready for a wild adventure in Lunacia! From July 31st at 3 PM UTC to August 14th at 1 AM UTC, our town will be filled with playful creatures in need of a friend. Meet the wild Noctids! Yes, you will be able to interact with these creatures in Lunacia. Will you be the one to win their trust and reap exciting rewards?
Lucky whisperers who charm these wild Noctid will have a chance to win some great prizes. Coveted land items are at stake. Imagine decorating your plot with the mysterious Phantom Alta or the futuristic R0N1N-21! But that’s not all. You can also get a shiny 0.01 AXS or 0.1 AXS stack or a shower of 20 or 100 SLP.
Our furry (and furless) friends appear three times a day: 1:00 AM UTC, 8:00 AM UTC, and 3:00 PM UTC.
Step 1: When you find a wild Noctid, interact with it quickly!
Step 2: If successful, it will follow your avatar for 15 seconds.
Step 3: But be careful! Other Lunasians can rush in and steal your new friend. The tag game continues until 15 seconds have passed.
Step 4: If you are the last surviving Avatar with a wild Noctid, you will receive a system message with a link to the Ronin Gift Portal, through which you can redeem your prize!
During each of these windows, expect five waves of Noctid to appear every 30 minutes, giving you 15 opportunities to participate in the chase each day!

Attention all landowners and managers! It’s time to turn your land into the most popular destination in Lunacia. From July 31st to August 14th, we’re hosting the most exciting community event in Homeland: the Plot Party!
This is your chance to get your plot design noticed. Imagine your plot becoming the talk of Lunacia, a must-visit hotspot that draws axes from all corners of Homeland. That’s what Plot Party is all about. We challenge landowners to create the most captivating, surprising, and entertaining plots. Lunacian explorers, get ready for a two-week adventure filled with exploration and wonder.
The top 50 most visited plots will share a 1,000,000 Ancient Coins prize pool! That’s right, you can earn Ancient Coins for your creativity and hospitality. Here’s the breakdown of the rewards:

Question: Can you steal someone else’s Noctid from a distance, or do you have to get up close to steal it?
A: You need to be very close to the Noctid to steal it.
Question: If someone takes my Noctid before the 15 second timer runs out, does the timer reset?
Answer: Yes, the timer resets every time someone steals the Noctid.
Question: Will these noctids stay forever until someone takes their gift?
A: Any unclaimed Noctid will disappear after 30 minutes.
Question: If I have a Noctid following me and the 15 second timer doesn’t end after 30 minutes, can I still get the reward?

Question: How do I know if I received my reward?
Answer: A message will appear in the system chat with a clickable link to claim your gift.
Question: How do I apply for a gift?
A: Click on the gift link displayed in the system chat and you will be redirected to the Ronin Gifting Portal. Tap “Claim Gift”. Connect your Ronin Wallet and sign the transaction. The gift will arrive in your wallet shortly.
Question: Are leaderboard rewards account-based or plot-based?
A: Leaderboard rewards are plot-based. Rewards are determined by the number of visits per plot.
Question: How are the rewards from plot parties distributed to managers and landowners?
Answer: The administrators and landowners will distribute the rewards earned from the plot party according to the delegation contract based on the leaderboard ranking at the end of the event.
Question: Does transfer of land ownership/management affect compensation distribution? A: No, rewards are only given to players who own the plot at the end of the event. (i.e. if a plot is transferred to another account before the end of the event and that plot is in the top 50 eligible for rewards, the rewards will be given to the last owner. Likewise, if a stewardship ends/is transferred before the end of the event and that plot is in the top 50 eligible for rewards, the rewards will only be given to the new owner, whether the landlord or the new steward.)

Answer: The countdown starts at 10:00 AM UTC on July 31st and ends at 7:00 AM UTC on August 14th.
