Hedera at Davos 2026: EcoGuard, AI, and Tokenization

At the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, Hedera appeared on the world stage as a distributed ledger focused on real-world adoption with a new set of products and integrations.

While Ripple, Coinbase, and Circle have a strong presence, Hedera has hogged the limelight with the launch of EcoGuard and AI use cases.

Discussions on restoring trust in institutions and new technologies took place throughout the week as Hedera interacted with policymakers, business leaders, and innovators on several panels and roundtables.

The conversation at WEF emphasized segmentation and 24/7 markets as Nasdaq aims to move to a 24-hour routine. Faster settlement was also a key driver.

As sponsor of the USA House, Hedera participated in discussions on how tokenization can lower barriers to traditional financial markets, while also emphasizing the importance of U.S. market structure legislation to remain competitive against Asia and Europe.

Hashgraph Group also launched EcoGuard, a carbon credits workflow platform built on the Hedera network that unifies digital trust across the entire lifecycle of carbon assets.

Designed to automate carbon credit creation, verification and disposal, EcoGuard was compared to DOVU, Hedera’s DeFi platform that tokenizes carbon credits for verifiability and trust, with the goal of preventing fraudulent sales.

AI and Hedera integration was another focus. Hedera was utilized as the trust layer for AI at EQTY Lab, enabling verifiable model training and automated execution for AI.

The new approvals from Accenture and Nvidia allow Hedera to play an increasingly larger role in AI-based systems in 2026, where transparency and security will be critical, especially as autonomous agents and AI-based payments begin to emerge.

Hashgraph Post Davos 2026

Hedera leadership was featured prominently throughout the week, with Hedera Hashgraph co-founder Mance Harmon discussing Hedera’s differentiators with CNBC and Hashgraph CEO Eric Piscini joining Nasdaq and the Institute of International Finance to talk about the future of financial infrastructure.

At Davos 2026, Hedera was viewed as an institutional-grade infrastructure rather than a speculative technology.
