Gods Unchained, ‘Tower of Dread’ expansion pack released

Ethereum-based NFT card game Gods Unchained is preparing to release its next expansion, Tower of Dread, on October 10, 2024.

The expansion introduces 40 new cards, including 7 legendary variants, along with new game mechanics and features.

This follows the game’s previous update and marks another chapter in the ongoing story as players face off against Thaeriel characters.

What is the Tower of Terror expansion pack?

The Tower of Dread expansion pack adds 40 cards to Gods Unchained, 7 of which are legendary and 7 of which come with a mythic variant.

As the game progresses into one of its biggest battles, players face off against Thaeriel characters to continue the game’s story. A teaser video and soundtrack were released alongside the announcement, marking the first time the game has had an official soundtrack associated with an expansion.

Players are also encouraged to take a look at the new Collector’s Guide, which highlights the expansion’s powerful cards and encourages players to experiment with “dreadful powers” as they build and corrupt their decks.

What else can we expect from this expansion?

In addition to new cards, Tower of Dread introduces a new mechanic called Dread Points. This mechanic allows players to destroy cards to earn Dread Points, which can be redeemed for up to 35% off in expansion packs. The expansion pack also includes two new gothic-themed game boards and in-game trinkets.

To encourage community participation, Immutable Games hinted at mystery prizes to those who engaged and shared content related to the expansion, urging fans to use the hashtag #GUTOD and tag the official Gods Unchained account on social media.

This expansion pack is part of the ongoing collaboration between Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians and ongoing efforts to enhance interoperability between Immutable Games titles.
