GaiaNet, Decentralized AI Hackathon Registration Opens, Offering $50K in Rewards

GaiaNet, a decentralized computing infrastructure platform, announced the launch of a new hackathon focused on decentralized AI for living knowledge systems. The event offers a total of $50,000 in prizes for participants. Registration is now open and will run until September 19, with winners to be announced on October 4.

The hackathon will offer prizes in six distinct categories, including $15,000 USDT for the best living knowledge system, $10,000 USDT for the most effective agent, $5,000 USDT for the best integration of domains and nodes, $5,000 USDT for the most innovative agent or domain, and $5,000 USDT for the best integration with a key GaiaNet partner.

Additionally, a $10,000 USDT prize pool will be awarded to the person who creates the most realistic digital twin of a cultural icon. The total prize pool will be divided among 100 winners, with a maximum of $100 per team.

The “Best Bad Agent” category encourages participants to develop agents that stand out through non-traditional behavior, innovative use of data, or a unique personality that engages and engages users. To increase the effectiveness of their projects, participants are encouraged to leverage clusters of agents or nodes and integrate domain-specific functionality. The “Best Integration of Domains and Nodes” category invites participants to develop unique integrations leveraging Web2 or Web3 APIs. This challenge is for those who can creatively apply these nodes or connect different domains in new and unique ways.

The “Most Innovative Agent or Domain” category will provide participants with the opportunity to develop a Web3 agent stack that demonstrates the interoperability of GaiaNet. The challenge focuses on creating seamless and effective integrations between agents, agent clusters, or domains. Integrations can be further enhanced by leveraging domain features that enhance node applications. Meanwhile, the category dedicated to building integrations seeks projects that work with hackathon partners such as Mintair, Chainlink, OpenZeppelin, and Shutter Network to create plugins, integrations, or features that enhance the connectivity and scalability of GaiaNet nodes and domains. Participants are encouraged to explore how they can use node cluster or domain features to improve their overall applications.

GaiaNet Hackathon Announces Participant Evaluation Criteria

Each category is determined by specific criteria. Technical complexity is assessed for quality engineering and technical understanding of GaiaNet. Creativity is judged on originality of the idea, innovative problem solving, and uniqueness of the solution. Potential impact considers how the project can impact GaiaNet’s product roadmap and its ability to make a meaningful difference. Execution is reviewed for the quality of the user interface, design, and overall functionality.

To be eligible, developers must deploy AI agents leveraging the GaiaNet infrastructure, ensure that the AI agents can respond to user queries to provide relevant information and recommendations, and provide comprehensive documentation of the process.

GaiaNet is a decentralized computing infrastructure that allows individuals and businesses to create, deploy, scale, and monetize their own AI services using proprietary data. By decentralizing the infrastructure, GaiaNet minimizes reliance on centralized entities, fosters innovation, and maintains data privacy.
