Ethereum Foundation has announced a solution to all problems related to the PECTRA System Contracts after a security audit.

The Ethereum Foundation, a non -profit organization that supports the development of Etherrium Blockchain, has published external security audit results performed by PECTRA System Contracts. This review confirmed the important issue, and all of this problem has been solved.

PECTRA system contracts include EIP (EIP-2935, EIP-7002 and EIP-7251 proposals). The main purpose of the review was to evaluate the contract for potential security risks and to accurately implement the functions summarized in each EIP specification.

Multi -level audit process was used, and each subsequent review process found previous results. This includes audits of Blackthorn, Dedaub and Sigma Prime, and includes general shift audits as well as EIPS 2935, 7002 and 7251. After each audit round, the code improvement was made before going to the next step.

In addition, the venture capital firm A16Z performed official verification using HALMOS, a tool that officially confirmed the accuracy of the contract function. The process focused on confirming that the byte code was consistent with the contract specifications rather than evaluating the security of the specification itself. Through this approach, the auditor and the community can review the specifications of the contract without concern about the sub -level details of the byte code implementation.

PECTRA will be released on March 5, HOLESKY and SEPOLIA Testnet.

The upgrade to the upgrade to the upcoming Ether Leeum Network is a combination of two components, a combination of “PRAGUE”, which deals with the update of the execution client side, and the “Electra”, which focuses on improving the consensus client side. This upgrade follows the previous Dencun upgrade.

The PECTRA upgrade introduces a variety of changes to improve Etherrium’s extension, security and usefulness. This includes improvement of user experience in encryption wallets and account abstraction (EIP-7702) and maximum validation steak limits from 32 to 2,048 ETH (EIP-7251) and doubles the number of blobs to improve the roll-up scalability (EIP-7691).

The upgrade was activated earlier this week in the HOLESKY Test Network. However, due to the vulnerability of the EL (Execution Layer), the chain division occurs, leading to a valid situation, which reduces the overall health of the network. The next step in PECTRA is the activation of the SEPOLIA Testnet, which is expected on March 5.

If both tests are successful, Ether Lee Rim will select the Mainnet Activation date in April.
