Early Access to ‘The Metaverse’

Shiba Inu has expanded its ecosystem with the release of ‘SHIB: The Metaverse’, now in Early Access.

This virtual environment invites users to explore, build, and connect within a blockchain-based digital space. Powered by Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s custom blockchain, the platform offers over 100,000 lands, some of which are unlocked for early use.

Designed to be accessible to a broad audience, the Metaverse is free to explore and use for Windows PC users. With this release, the project aims to provide new opportunities for user participation, customization, and interaction within the decentralized framework.

SHIB: What is the metaverse?

SHIB: The Metaverse consists of a digital world featuring 100,595 individual lands.

In the early access phase, 36,431 plots will be available across four zones: Growth, Defense, Technology, and Currency. These districts are designed to balance private ownership and public space, including hubs such as Ryoshi Plaza and WAGMI Temple that promote social interaction and ease of navigation.

Users can engage in several activities, including customizing their land, creating an avatar, and socializing. The Plot Builder tool allows landowners to modify their land with pre-designed elements, and a future update will enable custom 3D uploads. Avatar Builder gives you the option to create and personalize your digital representation, with future updates promising additional features.

The Metaverse also supports communication via text and voice chat, enabling real-time social interaction.

SHIB: What can we expect from The Metaverse?

Development of the platform has taken place over several years, with a focus on creating tools that encourage both creativity and participation. SHIB: Metaverse is currently optimized for Windows PCs and has minimum specs including 16GB RAM and a GTX 1080 GPU. The higher recommended specifications ensure a smoother experience for users with high-end systems.

Future updates will expand accessibility to desktop browsers and introduce advanced tools for landowners, including e-commerce capabilities and interactive game creation capabilities. The ability to bridge between Shibarium and Ethereum also improves trading options on platforms like OpenSea.
