The metaverse is Unbanked Newsletter For a weekly level up on the NFT and on-chain frontier

Dear unbanked nations,

What’s the best way to launch an NFT right now?

I think it’s over Far caster frame.

Frame, along with apps like Warpcast and Zora, lets you drop NFTs for people to collect for free with just one click, without a wallet transaction.

If you make collecting super easy, it’s easy to reach more collectors. If you want to try this flow for yourself, I’ve put together a walkthrough to show you how to get started 👇

A variety of apps already support Farcaster Frames, including Zora, a popular NFT creator suite. Zora makes it easy to launch NFTs and distribute them through the Frames mint, so I’ll use it in a walkthrough demo in this post to show you the gist of what’s possible.

Another reason I like to use Zora as an example here is that it gives you a lot of options. Supports multiple chains (currently Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Blast, Optimism, and Zora Network). Create free NFTs (currently on Base and Zora networks) Log in with email So you don’t need a wallet to get started.

If you’re ready to dive, go to: zora.co If you don’t have an account yet, log in or create an account and confirm.

After logging in to Zora, click the + sign next to the profile button in the top right corner of the page. If you do this Zora’s Create interface.

If you’ve never created your own NFT on Zora before, you’ll first need to create a collection to which you can add NFTs (and future NFTs if you’re creating a series).

You can do this right from the creation UI by pressing the “Create Collection” option under the “Collections” tab. This will bring you to a page where you can enter key collection details and select which network you want to publish to:

Of course, if you already have an existing collection you’d like to create, select it from the “Collection” drop-down menu here. In today’s demo, we’ll create a new NFT for our AI sketch collection. stable pfisterClick to proceed.

Once your collection is ready, you can now prepare your media and NFT details.

Click the “Try Canvas” button in the “Imagination Upload” UI. Create new works and remix them Upload your desired media files right from the start or by clicking “Imagine Upload”. A variety of files are supported, from audio to PDF, but there is a size limit of 2GB.

After inserting your media, press the “View advanced options” button under the “Create” tab to further customize NFT details such as description, mint start time, edition size, and more.

Once everything is set up the way you want, hit the “Create” button at the bottom of the page. You will then be prompted to sign a transaction to complete the creation process.

Now that your NFT is set up, you can prepare for a one-click mint for free via the Farcaster Frames drop, which advances ETH to cover the collector’s mint. To get started here, click the “Dashboard” button in Zora’s profile drop-down menu or go to: zora.co/manage If you are already logged in

At this point, select your target collection (in my case “Stable Peasters”) and then select your newly created NFT. When you click on the “Boost” tab in your NFT Manager dashboard, you will see the “Distribute Booster” option. When you click this button, you will be prompted to sign a microtransaction with your wallet.

Once that transaction is out of the way, you will be given an “Authorize” option to set up your Boost Mint system. Complete the following transaction to continue.

Finally, you are ready to add ETH to your booster.

For example, as you can see below, if you deposit 0.021 ETH now, you will get your first ~50 mints. This means that if you share your NFT via Farcaster Frame, you can collect the first ~50 mints completely free. This is a great method to consider if you want to get your NFTs into the hands of as many collectors as seamlessly as possible.

That is, enter the amount of ETH you want to cover the gas here, then hit “Send” and complete the deposit transaction to your wallet. If it later turns out that you have not used all of your ETH, you can use the “Withdraw” button to return the remaining balance to your wallet.

Once your Mint Booster is ready, you will see a “Cast Frame” button under the “Boost” tab in your NFT Manager Dashboard.

now already warp cast Clicking on the “Send Frames” option in your account (the most popular Farcaster app) will take you immediately to the Warpcast transfer UI where your NFT mint will be automatically prepared as a frame. Complete your post with anything you’d like to add and tag the channels of your choice. /metaverse channel) Then press ‘Send’ post frame like this:

This specific frame feature here is an NFT link. Interactive Mint AppThis allows collectors to collect for free, without having to sign a wallet transaction, by simply tapping the “Mint” button on the cast.

In contrast, if you post this NFT link on Twitter, it’s just a standard link that people have to click to leave Twitter, go to Zora, log in, and then sign the wallet transaction to pay for the gas. NFT drops via the enhanced framing method allow you to skip all of these extra steps and provide a frictionless collection experience right within people’s Warpcast feeds. This is powerful!

If you’re looking to showcase your own creations or create a new token-based community, NFTs dropped through Farcaster Frames are one of the most attractive distribution methods available today.

Not only are Farcaster apps like Warpcast filled with the most hardcore cryptocurrency-based users – the people most likely to become early supporters – but simplifying the collecting process to literally just one click is a UX game changer for collectors. . The more steps you remove from the process, the more likely people are to collect. No one wants to jump through hoops for anything!

Also, keep in mind that boosted NFT mints are not the only use case for Frames, and Zora is not the only minting platform integrated with Frames. The Zora + Warpcast combo is just a great early example of how seamless framing can be for NFT creative. Don’t expect too much!
