DFZ Labs, the mastermind behind the respected NFT project Deadfellaz, has introduced a game-changing strategic shift to improve the economics and availability of its ‘Bits’ NFT games.
Facing lukewarm interest while debuting 10,000 Bitcoin ordinal inscriptions at Magic Eden on February 13, the team significantly lowered the price and quantity of these gamified NFTs that serve as trading cards.
The main goal of Bits project coordination is to increase interest and accessibility, thereby providing a more attractive and achievable product to the market.
Key fixes aimed at increasing interest
Dedicated to creating a thriving environment that resonates with gamers, artists, and Bitcoin Ordinals fans alike, the project’s goal is to build gaming experiences that foster interaction between the developer and asset owner communities.
Despite this, Bits was less well-received than DFZ Labs had hoped. In response to market feedback and to increase engagement, the company updated the mint price for the initiative to around $100 (0.002 BTC), a significant drop from the initial $300 price tag (0.006 BTC).
Also, the Deadfellaz team Published in And on Discord, the game’s total number of inscriptions was rescaled from an ambitious 10,000 to a more exclusive 3,000, with this new minting opportunity taking place over a public 15-hour period.
By implementing rapid change and emphasizing community engagement, DFZ Labs aims to enhance the ‘Bits’ NFT game run by Deadfellaz to reach a broader and more engaged audience in the gaming, art and blockchain spaces.
