Cryptocurrency Airdrop Alert: Revealing the Potential of the Most Popular Airdrops of 2024

After the success of Uniswap, LooksRare, Arbitrum, Flare Network, Pyth Network, and Jito, there are constant rumors of airdrops in the cryptocurrency space. Adding to the legend, the impending Manta Network airdrop is expected to be one of the biggest potentials of 2024. Renowned cryptocurrency analyst Miles Deutscher highlighted the Manta airdrop, hinting at its potential significance in the ever-evolving cryptocurrency space.

Airdrop dynamics and network overview

Known as a “modular blockchain” running on Ethereum, Manta Network recently launched its Manta Pacific mainnet, a zero-knowledge (ZK) application L2. This innovative platform allows developers to develop high-performance applications at minimal cost and near-instantaneous transactions. Current statistics show that Manta boasts a total value locked (TVL) of $287 million across various network protocols, making it one of the leading blockchains, surpassing notable competitors such as Kava, Gnosis, and Sui.

Why the sudden interest?

The ongoing New Paradigm campaign incentivizes users to earn Manta tokens by connecting their assets to the network. To qualify for the airdrop, users must participate in DeFi protocols and NFTs on the Manta platform, and potentially earn higher token rewards through bridging larger assets.

Manta Airdrop Criteria and Potential Rewards

Deutscher advises cryptocurrency enthusiasts considering the Manta airdrop to link at least 0.2 ETH (about $400) or the USDC equivalent. In particular, a larger bridging amount will allow you to win more tokens during the much-anticipated airdrop, which is expected to occur later this month.

A recent report from CoinGecko shows the massive impact of airdrops, with the top 50 distributing a whopping $26.6 billion worth of tokens between 2020 and 2023. Adding to this legacy of lucrative token distributions, the Manta airdrop scheduled for this year is poised to attract significant interest from investors and enthusiasts.

Other developments and future airdrops

At the same time, the cryptocurrency industry is expecting another significant airdrop of Jupiter, a Solana-based protocol, later this month. Additionally, Manta Pacific has solidified its position as the 13th largest blockchain by total value locked (TVL), recently experiencing an impressive surge in TVL reaching $316 million. The surge of over $383 million boosted Manta Pacific’s TVL by a whopping 1,250%, ranking it 7th among layer 2 blockchains by asset value.

Kenny Li, co-founder of p0x Labs and contributor to Manta Network, finds the TVL growth encouraging, seeing it as a promising sign of new challengers emerging in the DeFi space against existing Ethereum layer 2 blockchains such as zkSync and Base.

However, it is important to note that TVL is not universally standardized or consistently tracked across blockchain browsers. Nonetheless, the 50 million token airdrop for early users significantly increased enthusiasm and interest in the Manta Network project.

As anticipation grows for the promised Manta airdrop in 2024, the cryptocurrency community is eagerly awaiting this potential game-changer that could have a major impact on the cryptocurrency landscape.
