Craig Wright admits to editing Bitcoin whitepaper

NAIROBI – (Coinchapter.com) The ongoing trial between Craig Wright and the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) took a dramatic turn with Wright admitting to editing his version of the Bitcoin white paper. This admission sparked further criticism and skepticism within the cryptocurrency community, with many taking to online forums to voice their opinions.

Key revelations from the COPA trial

During cross-examination, Craig Wright admitted to altering important Bitcoin whitepapers and claimed that these edits were merely a demonstration for his law firm. However, evidence suggests that the edit was made as recently as November 2023 and was intentionally designed to match the layout of the original white paper. This raises further doubts about the veracity of Wright’s claims.

The trial also highlighted testimony from important figures in Bitcoin’s early history, including Zooko Wilcox-O’Hearn, Marti Malmi, and Adam Back. These witnesses disputed the timeline of events and interactions that Wright had with the real-life Satoshi Nakamoto and provided further evidence that Wright may not be the creator of Bitcoin.

Wright said these edits simply “demo” A COPA lawyer representing his law firm disputed this. He said Wright clearly said:Parameter adjustment” Modify your own to match the format and layout of the original white paper.

This guilty plea further solidifies the cryptocurrency community’s belief that Wright is not Satoshi and has been lying the entire time.

The online cryptocurrency community exploded with reaction to the news, with many commentators identifying Wright as a fraud. Popular Reddit user “Munst 1“He pointed out.
