Bitget Begins U.S. Stock Options Trading, First in the Cryptocurrency Industry

Bitget, the world’s largest universal exchange (UEX), has launched U.S. stock options, giving users direct access to trading options for U.S. listed companies. This makes Bitget the only major cryptocurrency exchange to currently offer US stock options, along with cryptocurrency and CFD markets covering gold, forex, commodities, and indices.

Active features include long call and long put strategies for eligible users. Call options allow traders to take a bullish position on a stock, while put options allow them to express a bearish outlook or manage downside exposure. If the expected price movement does not occur, the option may expire worthless, but the buyer’s risk is limited to the premium paid.

This launch expands Bitget’s equity product line following the introduction of tokenized equities, its position as the leading venue for tokenized equity trading, and its pre-IPO access to private market opportunities. Stock options add another popular Wall Street product to the Stock+ service, giving active traders more ways to access market movements, return cycles, and portfolio risk.

Stock Options expands the platform’s Stock+ offering with a venue for direct access to traditional U.S. stocks built for traders familiar with traditional stock market products and regulated market infrastructure. This addition is consistent with Bitget’s broader goal of unifying cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities and other global assets into one multi-asset trading environment for users around the world.

Demand for the options listed has reached record levels. The U.S. options market processed more than 15.2 billion contracts in 2025, averaging about 60 million contracts per trading day. This growth reflects the broader use of options by retail and institutional participants for directional trading, hedging and capital management.

“We have consistently moved first to connect our users with equity opportunities,” he said. Gracie Chen, CEO of BitGet. “This has been rewarding for us and our users. From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing convergence. This is the innovation that cryptocurrencies were born to drive, and our products are far ahead of their time in providing advanced trading access to stocks, gold, cryptocurrencies, and other assets around the world.”

The initial release focuses on single-leg option purchases to provide users with a clear entry point. Additional features, including more advanced multi-step strategies, are planned as the Stock+ options product develops.

To celebrate the launch, eligible users who complete the first US stock options transaction will receive $15 worth of NVIDIA stock, subject to campaign terms and regional availability.
