March 26 Bitfinex Lists Coq Inu, Meme Tokens on Avalanche

Road Town, British Virgin Islands – March 26, 2024 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com/), a leading digital asset trading platform, today announced that it will list the meme token Coq Inu (COQ) on the Avalanche Network’s contract chain (c-chain).
Launched by Avalanche community members late last year, Coq Inu is a chicken-themed meme token with a total supply of 69.42 trillion. Similar to other popular meme tokens, Coq Inu has no specific purpose or utility for the underlying network, and is instead “for entertainment purposes only.” COQ made headlines in December 2023 when it soared to a market capitalization of $230 million within 12 days of its launch on December 8. The current market capitalization is $325.15 million.

COQ deposits will open at 1:00 PM (UTC) on March 26, 2024, subject to network conditions. COQ can be traded against US dollars (COQ/USD) and Tether tokens (COQ/USDt).
