Binance successfully completed a rigorous SOC 2 Type II compliance audit to demonstrate industry-leading security benchmarks.
Binance’s security infrastructure was carefully scrutinized in a thorough evaluation conducted by independent auditing firm A-LIGN. The audit particularly focused on two important areas: the robustness of system protection and the effectiveness of data security measures. The favorable outcome of this audit not only confirms the sound design of Binance’s security protocols, but also ensures their effective implementation in daily operations.
“We have invested significant resources and effort to demonstrate that our cryptocurrency platform can meet and even change the rigorous standards that apply to traditional regulated industries. “
– Binance Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su
Binance also recently announced that it has achieved ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certification. The certification, awarded for excellence in information security governance and privacy management, was obtained in four jurisdictions: France, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Turkey.
Prior to this achievement, Binance successfully completed its SOC 2 Type I audit in early March, laying the foundation for a more comprehensive Type II audit.
In early September, OKX also completed a SOC 2 Type II audit. Following the US Department of Justice settlement last month, Binance has placed greater emphasis on compliance and regulation to ensure transparency and maintain trust among its large user base.
