Weekly Bounty Board Participants from April through mid-July.

We launched Bounty Board on April 15th and it was immediately adopted by over 37,000 unique users. This number continued to grow as the summer began. Bounty Board is a daily reward-based Axie quest system that has reactivated old Axie players and brought new recruits to our movement. It also inspired the Play-to-Rice 🍚 meme as players used their AXS rewards to buy real, raw rice IRL!

In June, the Coinbase Learn and Earn campaign was launched. This was a joint effort between Sky Mavis and Coinbase to bring our movement closer together through educational quests on Coinbase. Coinbase users discovered Axie and Ronin, and Lunacians explored Coinbase. As a result, all the metrics skyrocketed. Axie DAA. Origins DAU. Classic MAU. App.axie transaction volume. Monthly Treasury revenue. Many of these players were newcomers to the digital nation and are now exploring the rest of our ecosystem.

Axie Classic was the game that introduced millions to the world of crypto, and we’ve worked hard to double down on what the community loves.

homeland-2.jpeg

Homeland is our ambitious vision for a player-owned digital world. We envision a world where Lunacians develop their lands by harvesting, producing, building, and interacting with other Lunacians.

When Homeland launched its beta in January, we faced some obstacles. The launch did not meet the goals we set for ourselves, and our community informed us. Founders Jiho and Trung launched. Notes from the Homeland FounderWe committed to realigning development to align with our core vision. We rolled up our sleeves and got to work fixing bugs, rethinking unpopular mechanics, and reintroducing features that players loved.

The current situation in Homeland is as follows:

  • Feedback-driven development: We’ve introduced updates via “leek” articles based on player feedback, allowing us to adjust based on community reaction. For example, we’ve revamped the Moonfall mechanic to make quests more structured based on player input.

  • AXP Import and QoL Updates: We have introduced AXP earning for axes working on our land. Each axe earns 10,000 AXP per day. We have also provided more QoL improvements.

  • Homeland Event: We also hosted three events (The Gathering Showdown, The Cooking Showdown, and Adventurer’s Rush), each with a leaderboard and a total prize pool of approximately 20,000 AXS. These events showcased the incredible potential of Homeland, celebrating the creativity and dedication of our community, from resource gathering to culinary masterpieces.

  • Future Development: We’re excited about two major upcoming features coming to Homeland: Axie NFTs replacing NPC adventurers. Avatar Mode offers an interactive social experience, allowing you to explore and chat with your neighbors as an Axis avatar.

Let’s pause and reflect on this. Governance of Web3 can be messy and complex. Sometimes it feels like building and flying an airplane. We’re in uncharted territory, and we’re figuring it out together. But listen to this: Today isn’t about promises or fancy words. Today is about showing you the goods. Here’s what we’ve done to govern Axie.

  • Axie Score and Governance Portal Launch: On May 17th, we launched the Axie Score and Governance Portal, marking the birth of Axie Governance and empowering all Lunacians to shape our shared future.

  • Axi Score: Axie Score is a points system that reflects the contributions of community members to the Axie ecosystem, encouraging balanced participation beyond token holding. It is a work in progress developed by the Axie Score Committee and contributors.

  • First Governance Vote: We tested a new governance mechanism by introducing AIP-001 to upgrade Axie and Land contracts. The AIP was passed with a total voting power of 14.7 billion, staked AXS of 4.08 million, and participation from 4,063 unique wallets.

  • Town Builder: Our dedicated Town Builders have played a vital role in shaping governance initiatives, volunteering their time, and working with the community. Their efforts and insights have been critical in improving our governance processes.

  • The Future of Governance: As we improve and expand Axie governance, we are committed to incorporating community feedback. The Axie Governance Portal and Axie Score will evolve alongside the community.

Governance Portal: The Governance Portal streamlines community decision-making, allowing members to connect their Ronin Wallet, stake AXS, and vote on proposals.
