Smart home security company Arlo Technologies has launched Arlo Secure 5, the latest evolution of smart home security powered by Arlo Intelligence. This new proprietary AI technology brings together a number of industry-first advancements, including custom detection, vehicle recognition, and people recognition.
“Arlo continues to lead the industry with advanced AI and computer vision capabilities, including custom detection, vehicle recognition and people recognition, which provide Arlo users with even more peace of mind,” Arlo CEO Matthew McRae said in a written statement. “Our relentless focus on smart home security, coupled with our commitment to protecting our customers’ data and privacy, will continue to drive more industry-first innovations that customers can trust to protect their loved ones.”
Arlo Secure enhances the capabilities of Arlo devices to provide users with a comprehensive security solution. Leveraging advanced computer vision AI and perception technologies, Arlo Secure 5 provides detailed notifications, enabling individuals to make informed decisions about their safety and security.
There are several new features to enhance security. Person recognition lets users identify individuals arriving at their home with personalized notifications using names from their personal library of named faces. Vehicle recognition provides roadway protection by providing notifications labeled with known vehicles that users have previously named. Custom detection lets users train Arlo AI to recognize specific objects or changes in the view and trigger customized notifications based on user-defined criteria.
We currently offer two subscription plans that grant users access to video cloud storage and the ability to view, save, and share event recordings. These plans also provide tools for personalized security, provide notifications for faster response, and include advanced object detection.
