AR remote guidance service is added to Quest 3.

This week, AR/MR guidance solutions provider Arvizio announced support for the Meta Quest 3 headset, bringing its enterprise-grade AR instructor application to the new headset.

The integration introduces powerful front-line tools to Meta Quest 3, allowing end users to leverage AI-based immersive training and visualization of operational experiences.

Additionally, Arvizio says the AR Instructor/Quest 3 integration supports a variety of use cases such as skill enhancement, onboarding, maintenance, repair, and field service.

Alex Berlin, President and CEO of Arvizio Added:

We’re excited to expand compatibility to include the Meta Quest 3 headset. These developments are consistent with our commitment to providing our customers with the most advanced mixed reality solutions. Now businesses can choose the device that best suits their unique needs while leveraging Arvizio’s industry-leading technology and immersive training capabilities from AR instructors.

AR Instructor now offers Quest 3 users a “transformative” immersive training service that uses step-by-step instructions and immersive guided visualizations like digital twins to support frontline workers in their daily tasks.

Arvizio’s Quest 3 AR instructor support includes a variety of other leading headsets, such as Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap 2.

The company provides a new layer of communication for industry professionals by enabling frontline workers to interoperate with a variety of headsets with smartphones and tablets in the field, ensuring flexibility and compatibility.

Additionally, to help customers migrate their workflows to the AR instructor platform, Arvizio is offering custom development services.

Arvizio began the massive expansion journey of its AR instructor application in June 2022 with the introduction of support for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

Additionally, in July 2022, Arvizio released version 2.0 of AR Instructor, adding new features such as animated digital twins, content caching, and improved workflow management tools.

Arvizio’s AR Instructor V2 provides improved workflow mechanisms to enable distributed staff to control immersive document files from drafting to publication, including management tools. Version 2.0 also includes technical considerations for third-party documentation, allowing workers to copy, share, and use additional resources across a variety of devices.

In addition to AR Instructor V2, Arvizio offers the Immerse 3D platform with XR technology. Immerse 3D leverages 3D models and content for design review and allows workers to stream and edit complex computer-aided design (CAD), including Revit or Navisworks file formats.

at that time, Jonathan Reeves, Founder and Chairman of Arvizio added,

Organizations embracing AR to quickly train, upskill, and maximize their workforce require user-friendly, device-agnostic solutions. With the addition of Magic Leap 2 and powerful feature enhancements, Arvizio’s AR Instructor 2.0 expands cross-platform device flexibility and provides tools for easy workflow creation and user management.

In an exclusive XR Today interview earlier this year, Reeves noted that AR will be “one of the next-generation technologies that will break through and start revolutionizing Industry 4.0.”

Reeves said:

As part of this, significant digital transformation is taking place across industries and sectors. AR has been a great topic generating a lot of hype and discussion in the market, but I think it’s fair to say that it’s just starting to fall apart. Through.

Speaking about the Metaverse, Reeves noted that remote collaboration is key for adoption, a sentiment that holds more weight now that the Industrial Metaverse is making headlines. “It is our view that remote collaboration is one of the key drivers. There’s a lot of discussion about the metaverse, and most people think of it as a remote collaboration type of scenario,” Reeves said.
