Foreword by Sorare CEO and Co-Founder Nicolas Julia:
Last month, we celebrated Sorare’s 5th anniversary.
During that time, we’ve grown from a team of two people working out of an apartment with a single soccer partner to a global workforce working with more than 400 partners across soccer, NBA and MLB.
In 2023 alone, we partnered with the Premier League, launched a virtual cash wallet, revamped our web and mobile platforms and rewarded the winners of our top competitions with once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as meeting Zinedine Zidane.
Over the past five years, several core beliefs have continued to guide us:
Belief in Sorare — Now more than ever, we believe in the need for a platform that empowers sports enthusiasts to grow and own their fandom, growing from spectators on the sidelines to general managers in the (virtual) front office.
Belief in owning your digital life — We believe in the power of combining blockchain technology and digital collectible cards to create a transformative fantasy sports experience where you can truly own the game by collecting, buying, selling and competing for digital player cards.
Belief in our community — We believe fans can experience the thrill of sports like a professional general manager, building their legacy week by week and season by season, and unlocking unique experiences that can only come through playing Sorare.
We are grateful for the lessons learned and look forward to the opportunities ahead. (Here’s my “Sorare status”: update.) Through 2024, we are focused on strengthening and expanding our core products. We’ll be launching a mobile-first, head-to-head game mode soon (more details below).
