Kaza Lilyhook Covering the best screenshot art and digital paintings from the virtual world.

I noticed that there were a lot of pictures of Second Life users dressed up as Napoleon or Napoleon replicas. Martha Plimpton I did it here, I showed her off "emperor uniform" It recently began to be sold worldwide.

Of course, I searched for “Napoleon” on the Second Life Flickr channel. But strangely enough, when I searched for “emperor,” I found more photos.

It’s a really attractive character to role-play, right? Many people may think of him because of the new Ridley Scott/Joaquin Phoenix movie, but he had a profound impact on Europe beyond his conquests. He had judges rewrite France’s laws, establishing equality before the law. It was adopted not only in France, but also in many of his conquests, and had such a profound influence on Louisiana law that it became the only state not to use English common law.

Great ambition is the passion of great men.

Skippy Beresford While paying homage to the emperor, it remains absolutely faithful to the little man and the grand ideas he expresses in his paintings. “Great ambition is the passion of great men.” Full quote from Napoleon Preface: “Great ambition is the passion of great men. People endowed with it can either do very good or very bad things. It all depends on the principles that guide them.” I wonder what principles guided his invasion of Russia. In the end, he gave the following example: Charles XII of Sweden warned people to stay away from him.

Terry Fotherington It shows the only enemy that has defeated the Emperor: the eyes. Denna Moore also stabbed Napoleon in the eye.. I find this history fascinating. In my actual living room, I had a large 2×3′ framed photo of the invasion. Hubris is Hitler following Napoleon, and Charles XII is following Mongolia. All were defeated by the weather, but the Mongols lasted longer.

retreat from moscow

Langstrasse Valley It gives us the final scene where Napoleon’s arms are weakened by the harsh winter and starvation in Russia. It must have been bittersweet because Napoleon won all his battles and made it all the way to Moscow, but Tsar Alexander burned everything! Wheat fields and other food were burned, his people were starving, and so were his soldiers. Tsar Alexander burned Moscow. Napoleon sat in the ruins for a month waiting for Alexander to surrender, but he refused. Ultimately, privation forced the French to retreat.

best shadow

Wolfie captures Napoleon. “Napoleon I at Fontainebleau” by Paul Delaroche”, Wolfie is younger and fitter, but captures the confidence and defiance of Napoleon’s stance.

exile

Seb Napoleon is captured at the end. It is unclear whether this photo depicts his exile to Elba or his death from arsenic poisoning in St. Helena. Hilaire poses for Seb and although dejected, he still looks healthy.
