A new chapter begins – Never Alone Mission 2: The search for Etira has now begun! | star atlas | star atlas
The dark, vast expanse of space surrounded the impressive MUD central space station.
Behind the viewport, Punav sat meditatively, looking at the blinking lights of the port far below. His solitude was only accentuated by the occasional hum of distant ships and the eerie whisper of the wind passing high in the sky. While the rest of the world, including his spacefaring partner, seemed calm, Saand’s mind was just as active as Mierese’s. Astrobad’s Tentacles clashing with the surrounding tranquility.
Saand, realizing that sleep was truly difficult, settled down in an armchair in the corner of the room. He decided to focus his anxious energy on something constructive.
He activated the AI embedded in his wrist bracelet and began speaking:
“Dear diary,
Yesterday I witnessed a sight that is rarely seen. It was the legendary Wandering Caravan show.
The troupe itself, with its members wearing a strange number of masks, was mysterious, but what really surprised me was the final act of the performance with the theme of ‘future’.
The first act, ‘Past’ and ‘Present’, showcased breathtaking talent that has already amazed everyone in the audience. But the closing act was completely different.
The sky above Volland Station exploded with intense fireworks of orange light, and a dream-like movie passed before my eyes like a movie. It was as if what was to come was revealed to me. A tomb glowing with luminous motifs, a vast fleet raining destruction upon a doomed planet, a hidden temple buried in the depths, a Punav haunting my fantasies, a deep pool radiating light. Countless shades, and finally complete darkness…
Interestingly, my companion reported a very different experience of a crystallized planet with strange creatures. In fact, it seems like everyone had an encounter with a unique and unique show, and the circus master’s warning at the end was quite ominous…
Saand paused for a moment, pondering the potential meaning of the sight. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to come up with a definitive interpretation.
He let out a long sigh before putting his bracelet back on.
“Anyway, there’s no point in dwelling on the trips organized by space celebrities! As a Punaab, I prefer to rely on reason and logic and anchor myself to concrete. And it is an undeniable fact that my memories are gradually coming back!”
Saand stood up from his chair, his smile reflecting the sense of accomplishment he felt. He has made significant progress over the several months he has been traveling with his travel partner. He began to wander through the simple rooms specially designed for the Punav people.
“I’ve been through a lot in a short period of time, but my past is gradually coming to light. “The whole story remains a mystery, but it is clear that I was once a being of many talents and abilities!”
He thought for a moment, wondering how best to express his unique situation.
“It’s a strange feeling. AI My body reacts instinctively in dangerous situations, sometimes before even recognizing the threat. Before I knew it, I was using Felistics against bad guys.
The amazing thing is that my natural abilities are a seemingly endless list. The mining, the piloting, the singing, the dancing – it all feels strangely familiar. Even awareness of rare minerals and remote planets feels intuitive, as if you have experienced many adventures in the past.
Who was Saand’s previous version?
Whatever his identity, he was clearly a hard-working, curious man who tirelessly sought knowledge and created temples out of his own body. I owe it to him to honor this legacy.”
Soft raindrops hit the viewport and gently permeated the room.
Sand went to the window and was drinking while looking at the serene scenery, when a sudden feeling of fatigue overtook him.
“Oh, before I passed out, the encounter with the caravan brought back a memory from my sleep. In my vision, it is becoming more and more clear that I am destined to meet Punav! “Once we put the pieces together, we can know for sure.” A gasping sound cut him off. “Ah, yes, Etira… That name is carved on a tree in the park. It’s not just a name, it’s a location, perhaps as big as a planet. I am supposed to meet her there and uncover her unknown truth. “But what could that possibly be?”
Tempted by the cozy bed, Saand gave in to the captivating warmth and soothing rhythm of the rain falling outside. He whispered as he finally closed his eyes.
“Good night, AI tomorrow. We begin our second mission: the search for Etira.”
