A Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant for 12 years suddenly moved 500 BTC.

According to on-chain data, a Bitcoin wallet that last traded nearly 12 years ago suddenly moved all 500 BTC it was holding.

According to Data Lookonchain shared As of March 30, the wallet had been inactive since July 2012.

The last transaction that sent 500 BTC to the wallet was when the Bitcoin price was only $8, Lookonchain noted.

The identity of the wallet owner is unknown, but the transfer to the new address comes as the price of Bitcoin hovers around $70,000. The benchmark cryptocurrency hit a new all-time high above $73,000 this month.

At current prices, the value of the transferred coins is approximately $35 million.

In April last year, another Satoshigui wallet was awakened after 10 years. The wallet, which holds 1,128 BTC and was last active in 2012, transferred 279 BTC. The last transaction from this wallet was when Bitcoin price was around $12.
