Ask-AI raises $11 million in funding, launches ‘generative AI sidekick’

Canada-based AI startup Ask-AI today announced the launch of its new ‘Generative AI Sidekick’ tool along with $11 million in funding. The Series A funding round was led by Leaders Fund, with participation from seed investors Vertex Ventures, State of Mind Ventures, GTMFund, and others.

“Executives are excited about the possibilities of AI and want to leverage the technology to increase employee productivity and customer satisfaction,” said Alon Talmor, founder and CEO of Ask-AI. “But they soon realize that building AI It’s harder than you might expect – what they really want is an out-of-the-box application that doesn’t rely on employees asking the right questions – what answers, insights, actions, etc. do they need before they know what their employees need? “You must inform us of the details.”

Ask-AI is a generative AI solution to increase efficiency in repetitive tasks, knowledge management, and understanding customer voices. Connect with over 50 work platforms, including Salesforce, Zendesk, Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Drive, and Teams, to collect, analyze, and understand corporate knowledge.

You can then integrate that knowledge into your employees’ workflows to help increase productivity and deliver a variety of use cases for customer support, success, product, R&D, and sales.

According to the startup, businesses today store data across a variety of platforms and silos, including Slack, email, CRM, business documents, customer interactions, and knowledge bases. When making decisions or interacting with customers, it is nearly impossible to obtain all relevant data.

Generative AI can help, but companies are struggling to build solutions that work accurately, are widely adopted, and have a positive impact on the business.

This is where Ask-AI comes into play. “ASK” is Ask-AI’s always-on “sidekick” sidebar that provides contextual information about everything in a team member’s workflow.

When viewing a customer ticket, ASK can surface generative AI highlights about the customer’s long-term concerns and past interactions, insights into sentiment and churn risk, and suggest concise answers and relevant knowledge across sources across the company. Crucially, it also provides trust scores and link citations for generated content to combat AI hallucinations that popular AI models struggle with.

Currently a team of 40 people spread across Tel Aviv and Toronto, Ask-AI plans to double that number over the next 12 months.

Ask-AI meets our customers’ generative AI needs.

Additionally, MosAIc is an AI insights solution that creates visual maps of key customer concerns and issues and iterates questions based on information across the business. MosAIc helps “organizational leaders listen to the voice of their customers” and identify issues that tend to close knowledge gaps within their organizations.

Ask-AI has many customers including Monday.com, CallRail, Yotpo, HiBob, Own, Instawork, and more, and the company claims to have achieved significant improvements in key business metrics, including reducing average support resolution times. 20% fewer tickets, 25% fewer average tickets per day per agent, and 18% less Slack channel usage.

“We surveyed the market and saw that many solutions attempted to add Gen AI to existing solutions, leading to limited functionality and data accuracy issues.” Gadi Vered, senior vice president of customer support and implementation at data platform company Own Company, said:

“Other companies introduced slideware. Ask-AI is delivering a useful Gen AI solution that is deeply ingrained in today’s employee workflows, is highly accurate, and consistently delivers valuable insights.”

Ask-AI was founded by Alon Talmor, whose previous AI company BlueTail was acquired by Salesforce.
