Lunacia, it’s time to bring our axies home. Five years ago, we issued 1,375 Axie Origin Coin (AOC) tokens on Ethereum. This was before Ronin even existed. This AOC token had the power to create a new Origin axis. On January 22nd we will be transferring these AOC tokens to Ronin! Let’s talk about what this means:
The origin axis is the ancestor of all axes that have ever lived (except the MEO axis). They were the first axes of Lunacia, meaning that the genetic history of all axes can be traced back to the Origin axes. But if all axes come from the origin axis, where does the origin axis come from? AOC token.
AOC tokens give birth to the Origin axis. 5 AOC = 1 original axis. However, there are still 1,375 AOC tokens remaining in various wallets on Ethereum. open. There are 275 unborn origin axes! AOC token migration will be interesting for collectors. The new high ID Origin and (possible) Mystic axes in circulation will add a new element of rarity. We plan to take a snapshot of the AOC contract at 7:00 AM UTC on January 22, 2024. At that point, the AOC tokens will be transferred to a Ronin address equivalent to the ETH address holding the AOC in ETH.
Example: 0x4dada3 owns 45 tokens in ETH at the time of the snapshot. ronin:4dada3 will receive 45 AOC tokens from Ronin after migration. More information on how to import your ETH wallet to your Ronin wallet can be found here. support article.
AOC contracts are suspended on Ethereum, so they can no longer be moved after the snapshot. Migration of AOC tokens to Ronin is mandatory. Otherwise the token will be worthless.
