China Mobile Hong Kong launches NFT marketplace ‘LinkNFT’

Telecommunications company China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK) has launched ‘LinkNFT’, a free NFT (Non-Fungible Token) marketplace. The marketplace aims to provide enterprise-level NFT mining services for digital assets, facilitating the creation, trading, and distribution of digital assets across various domains, including SocialFi, DeFi, GameFi, and more.

Currently, LinkNFT is integrated with CMChain and is Web3 compatible by leveraging the 3-in-1 cross-chain standard primitives of the CMChain Web3 Center cross-chain service protocol, cross-chain adapter, and cross-chain smart contract.

Hong Kong residents can access on-chain digital assets, including Ethereum digital assets such as Opensea, through “LinKey”, MyLink’s dedicated digital wallet.

China Mobile Hong Kong also announced over 30 NFT series under “LinkNFT”, including 20 commemorative edition NFTs from the MyLink ArLink series and 15 NFTs from United Publishing House and Migu Music. The total NFT circulation is expected to exceed 500,000.

A surge in witness activity in the NFT sector

As reported by DappRadar, the NFT sector has recently seen a shift in investor behavior, with increased NFT buying and selling activity. The average transaction amount jumped 114% last month, from $126 to $270. This suggests that NFTs are working in concert with the broader cryptocurrency market, showing similar patterns of investment and interest.

In recent developments, South Korean telecom company LINE has raised $140 million in investment to expand its NFT sector, LINE NEXT Web3 ecosystem, and related services. The company plans to use the funds to launch DOSI, a global NFT platform available as a mobile app, in January next year.

As the NFT field gains momentum, an increasing number of companies are showing increasing interest in the NFT field. This trend signals a growing awareness of the potential and value within the NFT ecosystem, encouraging a broader and more diverse range of companies to explore opportunities and participate in this market.
