World ID, a protocol designed to prove unique human identities online while protecting privacy, introduces a new way for apps to integrate with your online accounts. The Worldcoin App Store now features apps for popular platforms such as Reddit, Discord, Shopify, Minecraft, and Telegram. With three levels of verification, including Orb+ with facial authentication for sensitive tasks, World ID 2.0 offers a broader range of use cases. The upgrade also includes key improvements, such as the ability to return to Orb and reset lost World IDs. The rollout of World ID 2.0 begins today and will continue gradually until early 2024.
